Carbon Negative Energy

CNE is urgently needed to reduce the growth of CO2 to a stable state at 350ppm or less. Discuss pros & cons sources etc.

Public acceptance of Carbon Negative Energy

We urge everyone to learn about carbon negative energy systems. This innovative technique stores stable carbon as charcoal while releasing co-products and clean syngas. It is receiving a lot of attention from the grass roots but has been bypassed by the powerful because they can't control it. Distributed generation of electricity and use of waste heat could double our energy efficiency while keeping money within our communities. We have to do it - no one else will!

To ALL,
We have done this together so far and we must not fail!

I encourage anyone who cares about our ability to share this biosphere to go to:

http://www.commondreams.org/headline/2008/09/23-0

They document breaking news about methane burps off of Siberia this month. My local Representative told me last month that he knew of these occurances - so this is nothing new. They just do not know how to get awareness of things that are positively effective. If anything could ever help, CNE is it! We need to take it out of the fringe and put it front and center where everyone knows what it is and how it works and why it is important to them. I am counting on you for sharing this information NOW!

Hello Team,
It is unfortunate that carbon sequestration offsets are not currantly
recognized in the USA. Hopefully we can change the mindset.

Japan's Coal Co. has met its commitment to the reduction of Carbon Dioxide emmissions by incorporating bio-char into 2 & 1/2 million acres of low grade depleted Australian soils.

Prelimenary analysis indicates that soil fertility increases dramatically. Crops yeilds of 200% to 800% are possble ,....and with a sizable reduction in fertilizer usage, and any resultant agricultural "run-off".
This allows for sustainable agriculture while permantly sequestering Carbon dioxide.
Basically a win-win situation.

The western USA praries shows a "terra preta de indio" type of soil that was produced by nature and it is only 12-14" thick.

This was repeated by Native Americans for over 6000 years in the Amazon producing fertile layers over 6 feet thick.

Remember: Working 1 Ton of bio-char into gardens, lawns, farms and forests,... sequesters 3 & 3/4 Tons of Carbon Dioxide,
while improving the benefits of symbiosis between soil oorganisms and plants
Ted.

Hi, Alan,

Glad you did this. I waa thinking of doing bit myself, but I'm glad ti see you taking the initiative. I'll be please to interact with others with similar thoughts and hope to add some of mine soon.
