Positive Day - October 11, 2008 - Proclamations

Positive Day State of Connecticut

Positive Day State of Iowa

Positive Day State of West Virginia

Other States: We have received similar proclamations from the States of Delaware and Wyoming and will be posting them when they arrive at our offices.

Our goal is to repeat this proclamation in all fifty states for 2009. 10% of the states for our first time around with this is excellent, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Governors from these states for their assistance with this effort.

I am in association with a start up company, whose inventor has successfully created a prototype using proven technology in a configuration that, because of its design, and depending on its scale, proves to exceed the level of solar concentration compared to that which is currently available or on the drawing board; is comparatively more compact; requires less maintenance (enclosed); less moving parts (does not need to track the sun); can tie into the grid or stand alone; has the advantage of minimal (if any) retrofitting to tie into plant (be it government power plants, corporations, domiciles, (In other words, can be scaled up or down)).

In search of a partnership to implement a unit to prove its viability in order to better position company for funding. The project can be a retrofit to existing plant or new construction site. Can run parallel to current grid connection (easier to get planning board approval and reduces the cost to implement with less storage requirements for evening and at the same time has the advantage of real time / daytime power (i.e. during peek power demand).
If you know of such a candidate please contact me at kpotts2@gmail.com. Place in the Subject: CANDIDATE for RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECT

I hear so much talk about offshore drilling. What's the problem with drilling in the Bakken Basin? Why take the chance of ruining pristene beaches off Florida when there is more oil than in Saudi Arabia in the Basin (montana up to Fraser River in Canada)

I feel you began your projects in the right area. Perhaps Lowell,Mass, Ware, Mass and other closed mill sites may become alive once more. My own personal joy is to view restoration and revitalization of fallen areas.

DESPERATLY SEEKING ANGEL INVESTOR…..

I have been touting Solar, Wind and Tidal-Flow generation on one platform offshore for over 20yrs now......My wind is different from every one else's it is a type of Vertical Axis that has not been seen much if any in 20 yrs either.....it looks like a Power line pole
With holes drilled in it in such a manor that no matter which direction the wind blows it only turns one way.
I have been doing R&D and developing my new Patent Pending Recirculation Generator
That will run off 2 200w PV’s and will put out 1.7KW per hr…..
Takes the cost of 10 PV’s@ $1000.00 =$10,000.00 down to $3700.00 for my Hybrid System 2@ $1000.00 and $1700.00 for recirculator.
And puts out basically the same watts per hr….with a 60% reduction in COST!!!!!

This could lead to large scale PV deployment. MIT has developed a new system of creating hydrogen gas with PV.

I have signed up to both Mackane’s and Obama’s website this is how I reply to Obama’s email messages. So fare I have received none from Mackane. Feel free to copy.

Look I don’t care about any of this political gamesmanship by ether candidate.

If you want my vote tell me you will support the Pickens Plan or something like it and also insure me that the jobs it creates will go to Americans not some overseas corporation.

If we can keep the 700 billion dollars a year we are paying to our enemies here at home creating jobs, then I can work make my own money and afforded to go to a doctor on my own and won’t need the government to take care of me or my family like I was a child.

Do the right thing.

Going to the DNC?
This is a non-partisan group for all of the people who are passionate about ensuring that the issue of renewable energy is not ignored during the Democratic National Convention and that there are opportunities there to demonstrate and educate others on this issue that matters so much. Please join if you are attending the events in Denver or have any ideas as to how we as a movement can organize together and make energy independence an even bigger part of the convention.

'Green-collar' jobs a growth area, U.S. group says

Companies are stepping up their environmental initiatives, and that may mean a boom in "green-collar" jobs.

A recent forecast by the American Solar Energy Society found that renewable energy and energy-efficient industries were responsible for the creation of nearly 8.5 million jobs in 2006, and by 2030 that number is expected to reach 40 million.

Colleges and universities are taking notice, according to Challenger, Gray & Christmas Inc., a job placement consulting group.

Many have introduced specialized degree programs in eco-commerce, environmental accounting, green and social marketing, and ecological economics.

"The demand for 'green-collar' jobs is really exploding, especially as the cost of energy continues to climb," said John Challenger, the group's chief executive. "Students need to start thinking about developing skills that will give them an edge for these types of careers that did not even exist until recently."

Popular jobs include urban planners, forestry professionals and environmental lawyers, Challenger said. There is also a growing demand for architects and engineers with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit.

To: T Boone Pickens
All Pickens’ Planners

Re: Let us put our money where our mouth is … And WiNd BiG

Virtually all of us here at Pickens’ Plan are in favor of making an investment into the Plan. We'd even want to contribute real hard cash. I'm sure as word spreads, everyone in the country would too. Here’s how "We the People" can do it. If we all wrote to our electric power companies and requested an immediate rate increase of $0.03/kWh to be used as our shared investment in converting all electricity to wind, we could generate an investment fund of considerable power. Consider this. We as a nation use 4 trillion-kWh of electricity a year or 333 billion-kWh per month. Investing $0.03/kWh means an investment of $10 billion per MONTH. That’s $120 billion over 5 years. With that investment, “We the People” get “Power to the People” and each of us, as individuals, will be energy independent within 5 years.

Worried about other fossil energy sectors? Don’t! The same formula would work equally well there too! We can become an zero-carbon energy nation as fast or faster than Al Gore says.
