Overview

Positive Day - October 11, 2008 - Proclamations

Positive Day State of Connecticut

Positive Day State of Iowa

Positive Day State of West Virginia

Other States: We have received similar proclamations from the States of Delaware and Wyoming and will be posting them when they arrive at our offices.

Our goal is to repeat this proclamation in all fifty states for 2009. 10% of the states for our first time around with this is excellent, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Governors from these states for their assistance with this effort.

We are going to have to consider all mediums until we find the best of the best alternatives. Now it is petroleum, then natural gas, then solar/batteries. There is no system which will satisty all needs at this time. In the intrium we still need trucks, trains and planes. Also we have the largest wind fields on the planet.

re: Richard Stein - That's exactly what I was getting at in my last post below. An electric hybrid will be run on batteries and there will be a very small gas engine that will likely be HAFC and PICC assisted to maximize its efficiency who's sole purpose will be to recharge the batteries when they are in need of one while on the road for longer distances than the vehicle's battery range.

One should consider all aspects of use of natural gas as a car fuel. This is suitable for vehicles such as taxi's and trucks where trunk space for luggage is not of concern. However, present technology requires gas storage space considerable in excess of that required for gasoline, so one loses space available for baggage, etc. Another factor is that burning natural gas does produce CO2, albeit not as much as with gasoline. We will ultimately approach"peak gas" but at a later time than "peak oil", so this serves as only a temporary solution. A better approach is to consider "plug-in hybrids" using electricity as a primary energy source. While the electricity will be furnished from that produced by power plants, these are currently more energy efficient than car engines and may use alternative fuels. With improved battery technology, these have the future potential of being "all-electric" and may be a better long range solution.

According to Wikipedia, wind energy accounts for approximately 19% of electricity production in Denmark, 9% in Spain and Portugal, and 6% in Germany and the Republic of Ireland.

Al Gore is a ENERGY HOG. Flying around in his carbon polluting jet. Living in his ENERGY HOG house and telling us what to do. His do as I say not as I do is arrogant and shows his disrespect for the average citizen. At least he agreed with TBP on wind energy. This will take time and deication to correct our energy situation and it will include all forms of energy, even petroleum in the short run.

Join us at Carbon Neutral as we move forward with our plans to Flip a City.

Vacant Buildings - Holyoke

Download the pdf (4 MB) and get a sense of where we have to start.

Click Here to download Canal Street Studios, a pdf version of our power point presentation on the studios.

Then watch us grow and implement a plan to install grid tied solar pv systems on all rooftops, and most importantly, bring an entire city back to life as Carbon Free as possible.

I believe Holly in Lowell Massachusetts will eventually see the old mills in her town restored also. I am just glad this concept is being acted upon. It took many years to complete projects in the past that can now be completed in 1/4 the time

Al Gore is featured on NBC Meet The Press this morning 7.20.08 who agrees with TBP for the Wind Power but not for natural gas being moved to vehicles - instead favoring full move to electric vehicles and full renewability for all energy sources in the next 10 years. I agree with Al Gore. We need to fix this energy challenge once and for all.

I'm really happy that business are actually using alternative fuel sources to power their business's. I believe that this is a step in the right direction and more business should follow suit in this area. I'm also happy to see that our politicians are trying to create solutions to our dependency on oil. Not only is it beneficial to their business but its also beneficial to the environment

Pickens Army,

There may be relief in sight. We need to track this legislation and make sure the American people are protected as it moves through congress. This could open up the conversion market if we hold our representatives and senators feet to the fire.

Here is a piece of legislation that proposes to deal with the natural gas regulations on the federal level.

Senator James M. Inhofe of Oklahoma Introduces Drive America on Natural Gas Act and we need to show our support. This is a first step on the road to energy independence.

Below is the contact page.

Here is Senator James M. Inhofes website

The regulations of certification are addressed in a way to open up the market. Finally!!!!!!!!!

David Baker contributed this section.

We have to drown out the foreign oil Lobbyists in Washington. Collectively We have to become the VOICE for changing our reliance on foreign oil, by Vocalizing our Support for the wide scale use of Alternative Energy Producing Systems.

The ACTION we can take Today is to influence our LEGISLATURE. We must change the thinking in Washington. This is accomplished by CONTACTING your Senator, Representative, Governors.

The following links to Websites are one way of Contacting Congress. I find these links to be the quickest at getting to the "contact web form" used by most of Washington.
