Carbon Neutral

Moving to a genuinely carbon neutral society will take time. It may take government tax breaks to make alternative energy economically viable.

Overview

Positive Day - October 11, 2008 - Proclamations

Positive Day State of Connecticut

Positive Day State of Iowa

Positive Day State of West Virginia

Other States: We have received similar proclamations from the States of Delaware and Wyoming and will be posting them when they arrive at our offices.

Our goal is to repeat this proclamation in all fifty states for 2009. 10% of the states for our first time around with this is excellent, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Governors from these states for their assistance with this effort.

I've always been into electrical power generation from alternate energy and don't have much experience with thermal systems.

Neutrons and photons are my specialty.

I have a Confidential Private Placement Memorandum near
Completion. I am only letting 35 non-accredited investors in
before turning it over to the Investment Banker Wolves....
they are already at the door.....

Wanted to convert home to geothermal, have ability to dig my own looping system. Can find only ONE company to install geothermal heat/cool/hot water in Middle Tennessee - cost
$39,000. Are there any credit/tax breaks to reduce this to a manageable cost? Yes, about $300 worth. To replace my heating/cooling with conventional energy efficient electric system would cost less than $11, 000. Sad that greener technology is available but not affordable!!!!!

A plan was once postulated in which NASA-type technology was applied to position a geosynchronous satellite in a fixed orbit such that it would receive a much greater amount of solar energy. This energy would be beamed in an infrared form to a 7 square-mile receptacle. I am not going to get into this further. I am simply providing some food for thought. In any event, energy independence would call for nothing less than a Manhattan Project style of effort from government and industry working in harmony. The original Manhattan Project in the 1940s produced an atom bomd during World War Two when it was absolutely certain that the real race between the Allies and the Axis Powers was control of an atomic bomb. Certainly no one would have wished to have contemplated Adolf Hitler with nuclear weapons at his disposal. Thus the original Manhattan Poject was a race for human survival. If we are to believe that our carbon footprint carries with it the seeds of our destruction, nothing less than a Manhattan Project style effort will do. Sadly, about 40% of the population (about 60% of North Carolinians) do not believe in global warming. Nationally, I would suppose that maybe 40% believe in it.

Part of the challenge of this project is to convert boarded up abandoned buildings into liveable dwelling units.

Our plan is to install roof mounted PV systems on all buildings we obtain and convert.

Mike you should be familiar with the energy star program. The layout of the site and the focus on demonstrating the savings and the reduction of carbon. We need to be able to provide accurate information in the same maner we have a large population to educate and we must be able to present information that is accurate and concise. I have started a blog to post info on and links. any info you may have would be a great help.

Climate change is a serious problem, caused primarily by the carbon dioxide released from burning precious fossil fuels like oil, coal, and gas. But there are things we can do about it - like choosing to go carbon neutral.

Here's how it works: if you add polluting emissions to the atmosphere, you can effectively subtract them by purchasing 'carbon offsets'. Carbon offsets are simply credits for emission reductions achieved by wind farms, solar installations, or energy efficiency projects.

Human health and the environment are intimately connected -through the food we eat, the water we drink, and the air we breathe. As a result, what we do to nature, we do to ourselves. Preventing pollutants and toxics from entering our air, water and food would have a profound effect on public health and the environment.

As Chairman of Broad Range Entertainment, I have committed our company to be as eco-friendly and carbon nuetral or even carbon negative as possible, as we move forward with our planned build of Canal Street Studios.

Your comments on our efforts and strategy will be most appreciated.
