How are domestic farmers supposed to offset the increased fuel cost in a commodity market. It is costing producers more to produce a product rather it be pork, corn, or watermelons; and when it comes time to sell, these products are a commodity product and will only bring what the market price is, how are producers supposed to make up the difference? This year alone diesel prices have risen over $1.00 /gal and most farm equipment runs off this precious fuel.
