It occurred to me that the auto bailout might present an opportunity to advance the Pickens Plan, especially in the area of conversion of automobiles to natural gas, here is the article, http://www.examiner.com/x-1863-Denver-City-Buzz-Examiner~y2008m12d13-What-the-auto-bailout-means-to-Denver > Perhaps we ought to begin contacting the next Congress and the Pres Elect

Greetings from Colorado Springs!

My family and I have been powering our flooring and delivery business with 100% Biodiesel for the last 3 years now. We make it ourself from restaurant waste vegetable oil (WVO). We have developed a unique process that reduces production time, minimizes waste, and produces a better quality fuel.

I know that Biodiesel is not part of the pickens plan, but it is an excellent complement to it. Biodiesel can be used in our existing diesel engines WITHOUT modification. There are many myths about this fuel, and most of them can be easily busted.

I believe that the government will drag it's feet to get anything alternative going. Don't say tax incentives, because that only helps businesses that actually have the money to invest. Therefore, I feel we must do it ourselves.

Since Biodiesel works in our existing technology, it can be used immediately. It can help supplement our diesel offroad vehicles while others are made and modified into CNG vehicles. It can buy us some time.

Right now, only B20 (20% Bio 80% petro) is available commercially. However, they use virgin oil as their feedstock. This makes the fuel slightly more expensive than petroleum.

Regulations and taxes make it difficult to produce fuel here in the USA. You have to be a large corporation with lots of money to engage in such an endeavor.

I believe I have found a loophole, but I am not sure. It looks like the regulations only apply to "Fuel available to the public, dispensed from a pump into their vehicle, and used on public roads".

My idea is to deliver bulk fuel to contractors and farmers, where they will pump it themselves into their off-road equipment. As long as we keep production under a certain amount of gallons per year, don't dispense the fuel ourselves, collect the proper taxes, and don't use the fuel on public roads we MIGHT be able to get a grassroots effort moving.

The price of Biodiesel per gallon made from WVO would be stable, around $3.00 per gallon. The supply would remain constant. The only thing that could affect the price or production would be the cost and availability of the chemicals. Oil cartels and hurricanes will not affect the price or availability.

We could build a facility in Colorado Springs capable of producing 10,000 gallons per month in 6 months. It would take anothe 4-6 months to secure all the oil to meet production capabilities. Imagine how many farmers, ranchers and contractors that could help in the Colorado Springs area. Not to mention the few jobs it would create.

Now imagine our facility being a model for other cities across the country. People that already make Biodiesel in different cities could be contracted to build a facility to provide fuel for their local farmers, ranchers and contractors.

If you would like more info, please let me know. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Our website is currently under construction, and we hope to have it up by the end of October.

Thank you.
Jason

Take a look at our group site Mariah Power. The Windspire is now on display in Washington D.C. at the U.S. Capitol Botanic Garden through October 2008. Units are going up in California, Nevada, and Utah now, and we will very visable and effective throughout Hawaii this year. Mariah will be available worldwide as production increases with the completion of a new plant in Youngstown, Ohio. For more information contact Bill Mollring at : 831 402-2037 mrbillmaui@yahoo.com -
