The August oil numbers were released. Not Good! In August alone we imported 355 million barrels of oil and sent $25.2 billion overseas – the most spent on foreign oil out of any month this year.

It looks like Congress is going to debate the energy situation after they sort out the health care ordeal. The Pickens Energy Army across the country is very concearned about our continued dependence on imported oil from aging, declining oil fields located in politically unstable areas.

We are currently pushing the natural gas element of the plan. The bills are HR 1835 in the House and S. 1408 in the Senate. Please contact our idaho delegation via e-mail or phone.
