Attached is a map published by the INL through the Wind Powering America program. It's the Idaho wind resource map. Maybe Boone could send some of his turbines to Idaho.
I would be interested in incorporating this into my debate for State Senate. We need to show that Renewable Energy can be profitable on a local level for it to really take hold. There have been some financial benefits for Idaho through Wind Turbines on State owned grazing lands (the cattle don’t seem to mind or affect them in anyway). But, most people don’t know about it and it has been downplayed. Most of those that are opposed now, either think that they don’t work or are too costly to set up. If can set up these wind farms without state funding and with private investment, the only people left with objections will probably be competitors. Ryan, are you interested in helping with research to help me publicize wind turbines (or other Renewable Energy) in Idaho?
