The Schhool Year is underway....

Well we are all off and running I am sure at full speed. We realize that there is a fundamental shift taking place in education and we are trying to push Kentucky's Technical Education Program in the right direction. There are a lot of people looking for help and for information. We have already had one meeting working out curriculum and career pathways and it seems to be growing. I will directly be involved from a few different perspectives.
The pilot schools are all moving forward and I hope to provide regular updates for all members to read about. Renewable is Doable........but we have to jump in and do it..... take action and stop the talking about what to do. Enthusiasm is contagious when people see some results.
This week we will begin work on tying our schools hallway lighting load to our solar power system. What are you doing? Let us know.......

The school year has just begun and my 2 energy classes are just getting underway. We have some real challenges in front of us and a lot of things to get ready for. One of our biggest items of interest is we were invited to present at the NSTA conference in cincinnati, ohio this December. We will be doing a 3 hr workshop on wind, wind curriculum for students and demonstrate the hands-on lab activities we use in our class. Get a chance to be there stop in and see us.
Thanks
Doug

Just picked up an interesting sight called www.Big Think.com and they're researching Space and Time as it relates to a recent find called,"Dark Energy."

Check out the under water turbines their testing under the ocean and what's going on with that ? Someone could design their own model for a class report and presentation and explain it to me .
