Vincent,

Welcome to the group! Making America free from the grip of foreign oil will take everyone thinking outside the box. We can all do our part, and it starts with our homes. We would love to hear your thoughts on upgrades.

Hey all, I'm just joining this group, I'm from south Louisiana and have been employed in the oil field for 15 yrs. Natural gas is a huge economic engine in this area, employing closed to 30,000 people in the oil fields off shore. Natural gas is close to 85% of the products drilled for and pumped from the Gulf of Mexico.
I have an insulation question. My attic runs 120-140' during the summer months. Would it be advantageous to insulate the roof rafters?
Thanks much, keep up the good work and I hope to be able to contribute.

Great to see that the Pickens Plan is helping to bring awareness to energy efficiency. I am a student at Michigan State University and have just started a company that performs comprehensive home energy audits and manages weatherization/ energy efficient upgrades. Learn more about my new company Go Green Energy Consulting at www.GoGreenEC.net. I gave a speech at the Michigan State Capitol building last September calling on Michigan's Legislators to pass renewable energy legislation. Check it out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XLavdLvIoc&feature=related

Go Green Energy Consulting is a home energy improvement company based in Metro Detroit. Our mission is to reduce our customer’s home energy bills. We do this by suggesting specific home improvements, implementing the desired changes, and providing up-to-date information about available efficient energy programs, credits, and rebates. The company was founded in 2009 by Adam Duke and Jacob Smith on the simple principle that everyone can save money on their home energy bills.

Hello Army!

Welcome to the newly launched Energy Efficiency group here on Pickensplan.com. Ending our dependence on foreign oil is going to take all of us working together. Wind power and natural gas as a transportation fuel will help get the job done at the national level, but there are also things we can do in our own daily lives.

October is Energy Awareness Month, and I want to hear from you. What are you doing to help conserve energy? What steps are you taking to make your home, car or work space more energy efficient?

Talk to you soon!

Geoff
