If for some reason or the other we can not accomplish Mr. Pickens Plan with the new congress and senate in the first 100 days after they assemble in 09, I would like to be ready with another movement that will enable us to make our own changes after the 2010 elections. We are here for a common cause that is worth fighting for and I believe will bond us together. Our economy in in shambles, our environment is threatened, all because of oil, big banks, big business and their congressional ties.
Join with me, lets be prepared to raise up and be heard and back up our words with action.
Our great nation has to become energy independent or many of us will suffer, economically stable or many of us will suffer, environmentally stable or many of us will suffer and die.
T. Boone Pickens has started this snow ball effect in the energy sector of our lives and I applaud him, and I whole-heartedly support him and his project. I have seen this snow ball of suggestions turn into an avalanche of hopes and dreams for many of you and me.
When in the course of events and with what has conspired in the past weeks, months, years with the economy and environment we must include these Efforts with energy if we would survive. I have said in other discussions on this forum, and I proudly say again, I am a nobody from the middle of nowhere. I am a husband, a father, a carpenter, a businessman. I have tried like so many of you to sway my congressman, woman, and government to work for we the people, and use the power we have bestowed upon them, truthfully, clearly, righteously, with honor for we the people. As one we are nothing to them. As many joined together in a common cause we are a powerful force to be recognized and have voice that will be heard
The failure of our two party political system to lead, protect, defend, and secure this great country is why I take pen in hand and try to set right the wrong our government has conspired with.
Therefore I create this group with the fervent hope that we the people can band together, and with justice for all improve on the words penned below. Feel free to voice your opinion, add to or subtract from the pledge. T. Boone we support you, will you support, help and guide us.

This pledge is taken from the greatest document ever penned “The Declaration of Independence of The United States of America.” I in my feeble and humble attempt have reworded this great document to reflect our times. Please read, reconstruct, add to or change, but do not criticize, I am very thin skinned, lets discuss energy, lets discuss the economy, lets discuss the environment, we are all in this together. If change is what they want, change is what we will give them because I am tired of waiting for them to change.

We the people of the United States of America in order to form a more perfect government and stop the insanity and greed of our elected officials and the ability of big money to influence said officials have bonded together to form the Energy, Economical, and Environmental Party with and in the Pickens Plan.
It is the right, privilege, honor, and duty of each member of our great country to preserve protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America, and To right the wrongs beset upon them by the presently elected two party political system.
When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for the people to oppose these political bandits and the corruption to which they have become connected, and to re-establish the integrity and honor of the powers of the office bestowed by their fellow man, and the respect of the opinions of the people and that mankind requires that they should adhere to the will of the people when elected.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are suffer-able, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and corruption, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.--Such has been the patient sufferance of these United States of America; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. They have ignored the will and happiness of the American people to better themselves.
They have sold their office to the highest bidder to better themselves.
They have altered the American economy to benefit themselves and others.
They have allowed our great country to become dependent on foreign countries to better themselves and others.
They have failed to protect our borders to benefit themselves and others.
They have governed with special interest and are governed by special interest to benefit themselves and others.
They have squandered the power given to them by the majority.
They have abandon the American labor force
They have written tax laws with loop-holes for the wealthy to benefit themselves and others.
They have acted in a manner unbecoming the office they hold.
They have let the tort system operate unabated to benefit themselves and others
They have protected their offices from the American people to their benefit
They have ruled with fear and hatred to suppress their fellow man

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated silence. A politician whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Criminal, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.
We have warned them from time to time for their lack of governing and corruption. We have reminded them of the circumstances of their corruption. We have appealed to their since of justice with no avail. We must therefore set the record straight and fine it necessary to denounce them as a reprehensive of the people and endeavor to remove from your seat in the great halls of our government and hold them accountable for their actions.
We, therefore as the people of the United States of America in general assembly appealing to the good people of each state and district for the morality, goodness, and decency of our intentions, and by the authority of the good people of these United States, solemnly declare that if elected we will serve the will of the people we represent. We absolve all allegiance with those who would unlawfully profit from our reward granted by the people. Having been elected by the people, we establish alliances and support this declaration, and with firm reliance of the people pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred Honor

As we all go to vote lets remember that we need representatives in Washington that are doing what is best for our goals for our Country and the Security of it and to get away from foreign oil and put that above party lines.

We have an opertunity to input into the national debate at the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform by emailing them at commission@fc.eop.gov
Here is what I wrote: In the USA, governments owe $1 trillion to pensions while companies average 78% of pension funding. We must solve the Social Security and pension deficiency issues by giving the USA a new competitive advantage. An example, the USA could open its borders importing people to solve some of these problems or allow pension funds to fund research and development of energy efficiency. And because today the USA has 1.3 the normal housing units per capita improving housing efficiency is a must. You must end conventional IRA's before the 2016 deadline which forces people 70.5 to take distributions that can cause a new depression. We need new taxes like a pollution surcharge, a national sales tax of 2%, and a fat tax of 4% could reduce the IRS by half, reduce fuel consumption by half, and reduce health costs significantly.
Over the next 10 years, the dollar will decline to half its current value as the energy depression continues and we keep spending dollars to buy oil. GDP at $14 could reach $26 Trillion annually. Exports at $1.3 will continue to increase to $2.44 Trillion creating new manufacturing jobs, push for for deleveraging, re-regulation, and deglobalization. Make imports fair to bring them down to $1.45 Trillion, by helping the USA implements conservation, add to domestic fuels and renewable energy, new taxes and new manufacturing. Commodities in general (metals and fuels) will have scarcity crises repeatedly, i.e. the world needs 14 terawatts of new electrical production; therefore reduce rebates on PV. Remember gas price could swell to $7.50 per gallon, but only obsolete cars will use it.
We need a new stimulus package: Repair our stuff, help governments buy zero emission cars, get the Defense Department to fund road repairs and we need upgrades on our water plants. Superconductors having the biggest potential to improve our lives need research money. Put a new NAFTA to help Amtrak build a high speed route from Mexico City to Anchorage, Alaska, starting with Los Angles to Stockton. And please help fund PEM fuel cells as they can last 50 years and make them more like a battery that I can take from one car to another. As many of these ideas “Help Nature Heal”, they are part of why I founded CoolingEarth.org. I need your help in working toward a new pneumatic electric car, an electric airplane and new Energy Information Systems for homes and offices.

Our moment to make a difference is now. Albert Einstein put it best when he said "the thinking that got us into this mess is probably not the thinking to get us out", we need real reforms in Lansing not more potical talk that fails to add one job, keep families in their homes and keeps small business doors open. My position on energy and the environment is clear: sound environmental policy makes for excellent economic policy!
Please show your support, and like many of you are facing an entrenched and entitled bunch of small-minded professional politicians and big special interests groups. Thier games are costing you and me billions each year, and its a game that ordinary michigan taxpayers are losing each year, along with our health, our precious natural resources and good paying job.
Its time for us to rise up Patrick Henry style and declare our own independence from a lansing politic that's not working for us, a lansing politic that pits us against each other, a lansing politic that has robbed us of our hard-work, liberty and our children's future!

This is the very basic model, more adaptations / concepts later. you have to register on the sight to be able to download sims (mostly aircraft), but then they are free. Anyway, this sim will give you an idea of how the controls and suspension is intended to work.
Basic info. on sim:
This is a -very- simple sim of the next tran. to build. I will post a complete sim -way- later but it will give you an idea of how the guts work, and be placed. ALL parameters are subject to change at this point.\n\nWhy bother?.. This is intended as a Police Intercept Prototype, fast, inexpensive, can push stuff off the road, narrow enough to move through traffic, and can offer impact / assault protection, in climate control, for driving seasons, in any part of the world.\n\nAlso, this design is intended as a ATX case, in that any engine \/ drive system you want to install can be fitted \/ upgraded \/ modified, with easy access to any of the components, for test conditions. This class includes pneumatic, diesel, electric, fuel cell, solar, hydrogen, steam,or any combination of quackery you may want to think up.
Engine: any inline 4-6 cylinder of 2400 cc +
Fuel: whatever you build the engine for

This system (in concept) has advantages.
1/ The CO2 can be scrubbed out of a home sized power conversion system with a simple "caustic soda rainfall" type exit filter (too large for a car, and utility type systems, but OK for about up to 50 HP exhaust)... and / or piped into a greenhouse for starter plants...
2/ The system can remove a more damaging hothouse gas (methane), and potentially replace it with calcium carbonate (or similar).
3/ The size and structure of the system(s) may allow banks to invest in -very low interest- homes / conversion systems of 25 - 50 HP (at any location in the planet) in that the machinery energy conversion paycheck will pay off the debit in 15 years.
4/ The waste heat -even with efficient units- will allow the home hot water / heat at no extra cost / machinery.
5/ These systems are conductive to autos (in particular) in that they can be made -reasonably- safe without a lot of expensive research..(three storage batteries for acceleration, 10 Gal. Nat. Gas. for quick refuel and range, and a 1 HP conversion cell, with -maybe- some solar on the roof for the parking lot all day).
6/ Applied correctly, they have the potential of limiting overpopulation / population density complications, and the warlord economic mentalities that go with it, by the encouragement of proactive homesteads that are of sustainable nature as to not to devolve into slums.
7/ They can be used with wind and solar (in the same DC to AC convertors) to increase the profit level of the investment, as well as this incentive to invest in open land tracks (reclaim the under watered locations of the planet), to keep the population density low in the area.
I will post a like to my personal, low cost, "ATX Case" transportation concept in the next couple of days (usable on MS FSX/FS2004 - micr*s*ft Flight System 2004)...that could be adapted to useing something like this

It's always a pleasure to read your posts Larry. Though we disagree on a few issues, I think we're both trying to look at things realistically and objectively. I'm aware that methane is of course generated constantly from bio-degradation and released into the atmosphere, but I'm curious as to your statement that our natural gas resources are increasing. I'd like to know more about this, as it could change my perspective considerably.
I agreed with the 25% heat utilization figure of IC's as an average across the board. The actual figure is of course tremendously variable depending on specific engine design. I tend to be extremely conservative in my efficiency statements. The amount of heat from a burned gallon of gas that actually moves one human down the road is pretty appallingly small though. Interesting that a Ford Model A engine is as thermally efficient as some running today.
One more thing...I think it is conceivable that for-profit, private sector nuclear could be workable. There's no technological reason to think otherwise, just a lack of will to do it. The problem with ALL of the available energy solutions available isn't the tech, but the huge profits available from financial manipulation and usury that the US economy seems to be running on these days. The profit potential from actually DOING or MAKING something isn't attractive enough to attract the capital, and a lot of tech wizards are in the university research arena and just don't need or want the risk of entrepreneurship. Only my opinion, and I hope I'll be proven wrong. That's why I see government involvement in the form of guidelines and incentives, at least, as a necessary evil if we're going to move forward. (still have to deal with the carbon dioxide though....) (automotive format connected to a "custic soda waterfall" in the home) for sale of conversion energy back to the grid, to provide the home payment -automaticly-.
thus... Who gives a cr*p about your perception of 'politics' or your opinion. The economic leverage to engorge your ego becomes moot (mine as well).
You will notice, however, that all my posts were before the 60 Min. story on the device.
I would be interested in any specifications on the system though....
