Read and digest the words, help write the words, and lets be ready to live the words.
If for some reason or the other we can not accomplish Mr. Pickens Plan with the new congress and senate in the first 100 days after they assemble in 09, I would like to be ready with another movement that will enable us to make our own changes after the 2010 elections. We are here for a common cause that is worth fighting for and I believe will bond us together. Our economy in in shambles, our environment is threatened, all because of oil, big banks, big business and their congressional ties.

Join with me, lets be prepared to raise up and be heard and back up our words with action.

Our great nation has to become energy independent or many of us will suffer, economically stable or many of us will suffer, environmentally stable or many of us will suffer and die.
T. Boone Pickens has started this snow ball effect in the energy sector of our lives and I applaud him, and I whole-heartedly support him and his project. I have seen this snow ball of suggestions turn into an avalanche of hopes and dreams for many of you and me.

When in the course of events and with what has conspired in the past weeks, months, years with the economy and environment we must include these Efforts with energy if we would survive. I have said in other discussions on this forum, and I proudly say again, I am a nobody from the middle of nowhere. I am a husband, a father, a carpenter, a businessman. I have tried like so many of you to sway my congressman, woman, and government to work for we the people, and use the power we have bestowed upon them, truthfully, clearly, righteously, with honor for we the people. As one we are nothing to them. As many joined together in a common cause we are a powerful force to be recognized and have voice that will be heard
The failure of our two party political system to lead, protect, defend, and secure this great country is why I take pen in hand and try to set right the wrong our government has conspired with.
Therefore I create this group with the fervent hope that we the people can band together, and with justice for all improve on the words penned below. Feel free to voice your opinion, add to or subtract from the pledge. T. Boone we support you, will you support, help and guide us.
Our forefathers started an avalanche in their day, I have seen the support for our legacy sway. Please let this be our time, to this end I pray.
This pledge is taken from the greatest document ever penned “The Declaration of Independence of The United States of America.” I in my feeble and humble attempt have reworded this great document to reflect our times. Please read, reconstruct, add to or change, but do not criticize, I am very thin skinned, lets discuss energy, lets discuss the economy, lets discuss the environment, we are all in this together. If change is what they want, change is what we will give them because I am tired of waiting for them to change.

The Pledge

We the people of the United States of America in order to form a more perfect government and stop the insanity and greed of our elected officials and the ability of big money to influence said officials have bonded together to form the Energy, Economical, and Environmental Party with and in the Pickens Plan.

It is the right, privilege, honor, and duty of each member of our great country to preserve protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America, and To right the wrongs beset upon them by the presently elected two party political system.

When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for the people to oppose these political bandits and the corruption to which they have become connected, and to re-establish the integrity and honor of the powers of the office bestowed by their fellow man, and the respect of the opinions of the people and that mankind requires that they should adhere to the will of the people when elected.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are suffer-able, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and corruption, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.--Such has been the patient sufferance of these United States of America; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present two party political system is a history of repeated injuries and usurpation's, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

They have worded their campaign election laws as to hinder a 3rd parties equal participation.
They have ignored the will and happiness of the American people to better themselves.
They have sold their office to the highest bidder to better themselves.
They have altered the American economy to benefit themselves and others.
They have allowed our great country to become dependent on foreign countries to better themselves and others.
They have failed to protect our borders to benefit themselves and others.
They have governed with special interest and are governed by special interest to benefit themselves and others.
They have squandered the power given to them by the majority.
They have abandon the American labor force
They have written tax laws with loop-holes for the wealthy to benefit themselves and others.
They have acted in a manner unbecoming the office they hold.
They have let the tort system operate unabated to benefit themselves and others
They have protected their offices from the American people to their benefit
They have ruled with fear and hatred to suppress their fellow man

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated silence. A politician whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Criminal, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

We have warned them from time to time for their lack of governing and corruption. We have reminded them of the circumstances of their corruption. We have appealed to their since of justice with no avail. We must therefore set the record straight and fine it necessary to denounce them as a reprehensive of the people and endeavor to remove from your seat in the great halls of our government and hold them accountable for their actions.

We, therefore as the people of the United States of America in general assembly appealing to the good people of each state and district for the morality, goodness, and decency of our intentions, and by the authority of the good people of these United States, solemnly declare that if elected we will serve the will of the people we represent. We absolve all allegiance with those who would unlawfully profit from our reward granted by the people. Having been elected by the people, we establish alliances and support this declaration, and with firm reliance of the people pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred Honor

This is the heart and soul of the ENERGY PARTY and the people of the United States of America.
Past elections, past promises of change, past disappointments of promised change have brought us together to plan ahead of disappointments this time.

This is not an attempt to find a presidential candidate at all because history shows us when a 3rd party aims for the White House they fail and we take two or three steps back and stumble to the ground becoming comical fodder for the media. This is to encourage people to run for congress as a 3rd party candidate in 2010

Not that I was invited to this conversation, but it is a slow Saturday...

Personally, I would hope that communication of political objectives are presented as the primary reason for involvement in mass audiences. Kings create war, and the communication of the involvement before that situation prevents said war.

The pundits keep harping on the lack of a credibility of a health care bill, but they can't even demonstrate a concept (between the parties) of free trade for CLEAN energy. How are they ever going to present a workable "no fault health insurance" bill when the simplest concept of fair trade in development environments eludes them?

Every day they find some excuse to delay this, and other similar development, more kids needlessly die from the lack of resources being kept from distribution, so these "leaders" can keep their egos intact. But don't rock the boat, or you will find yourself out of a job (in this "Wallmart company town").

Larry, I always look forward to hearing your responses, even if I don't always agree with them. You have a very analytical mind, and I agree with much of your philosophy, but not always with your politics. My father was a very poor communicator, and disappeared from my life for many years after my parents divorce, just as his father had done. I am determined not to repeat his mistakes, and I see that you are making similar efforts. My point was that 2 people can view the same events and percieve them differently. Open and honest discussions are the way to resolve differences and find possible solutions. It's much more effective than berating somone for not agreeing, or shouting in someone's face.

Do you suppose the liberal/conservative differences are in some way related to creative/analytical thought processes? Despite your analytical messages, some of your ideas are very creative, and despite my liberal leanings and spending more time at concerts than libraries, I did manage to get an Engineering degree, eventually.

Robert, I am glad you have just been busy and not mad, I worry sometimes that the one thing that I inherited from my Dad is that I can be an a-hole, too.
I do not intend to make people feel set upon, but I feel quite passionate about the lessons this life has taught me, and I feel compelled to open my mouth to tell the world about it. Many times the way I say things doesn't come out in the most diplomatic manner, and I wish to beg your forgiveness if ever I have said anything that seemed offensive to you. That surely was not my intention.

No problem, Larry. Just what I was trying to say, we all see things differently. That's a good thing. If we were all a bunch of clones, this would be a pretty boring world. No, my mind is not lazy, lately seems to be jumping from one idea to the next. Kind of like my desk at work, it's hard to keep everything organized. Something new is always coming along to provide a new distraction, or spark some new possibilities to consider.

Robert, Please don't take offense at this, as it is probably going to seem to you like you can't say anything without me picking it apart, and I know how important inconsequential pastimes, like music, can be to the liberal mind.
I can appreciate that we might also have differences in tastes in music, and I am not trying to impugn yours.
Tho', I am not sure what light those lyrics would shed on anything in the human experience, perhaps they seem more profound thru the logic of a liberal mind.
I do know that most liberals arbitrarily "decide what they want to believe", regardless of the facts, but I do not, and it would surprise me if you did.
I observe the laws of physics, and the actions, reactions and interactions of all life forms that I come in contact with in my life, then, I draw correlations between similar occurrences to be able to predict future occurrences.
This is because you will never catch the ball, if you concentrate on where the ball is. Where it is means little to nothing! One must accurately assess the physics of the problem, like volume, weight, density, speed, mass, dynamic attributes, trajectory and extraneous forces acting upon the mass to correctly predict where the ball is going to be at the time when you can be at the same place to intercept it.
My point is that being aware of what is, in the moment, tells you nothing useful, in itself, if you do not have an accurate record of prior occurrences, yielding a predictable model of future ones, a sense of possible actions which could produce a more desirable result, and avoidance of unintended or undesirable consequences.
That's just a long way of illustrating that "Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it."
Liberals often impugn the intelligence and education of their opponents, or call them kooks and crazy, like they did with GW and Sarah Palin, but experience has shown me that most liberals lack a higher than average degree of native intelligence, that is why when they impugned GW as a stupid hick, they could not find a man to run against him that earned better than half a grade point lower than he did at Yale, plus, nearly all liberals are truly short on accurate knowledge of human history, but even the most educated and intelligent of fanatical liberals can look at any common occurrence in life, and come up with an entirely different explanation of what just occurred in front of all our own eyes. This is truly baffling, and leads me to believe that, like psychopaths, their brains are mis-wired.
A lazy mind is nothing to be proud of, but at least it is not as dangerous as a mis-wired one. I refuse to believe you have either. I think most Democrats are not really that liberal, but are just Democrats, because their father was a Democrat, and we rarely question the intelligence, or motives, of our fathers, but just tend to follow blindly in their footsteps.
My father was a total a-hole, most of the time, so I found it easy to reject his indoctrination, and then, seek my own path.

We can all agree upon that last paragraph, Robert, with the exception of your insertion of "government" as possibly being "someone working in the public interest".
When are you liberals going to face the facts?
Government never works in the public interest. It always works only to perpetuate its own elite status and power structure, which means it works for those with money, as money is always the source of power, because money buys the guns, the ammo and the goons to enforce their power.
This has been the case since the creation of money (or medium of exchange). Before that, government was only slightly more honest (more precisely overt), as it was the biggest, baddest caveman swinging the biggest club, who held all power to force his fellow men to serve him, strictly for his own benefit.
Face the facts, Robert, the nature of humans has never changed, and the nature of government hasn't, either.
Only free men in free association can solve their problems, together, without the evil of coercion.
It is never their freedom to join that guarantees that, it is their freedom to opt out that threatens dissolution of the societal pact which forces the association to continue to represent the needs of each individual making up the whole.
The moment you negate the individual's right to opt out is the moment you instill coercion into the system, and simultaneously guarantee that the association will no longer respond to the needs of the individuals for which it was created.
From that point on, it will serve only the elite class that controls the management of the organization.

A public option does not, and should not, lead to forcing socialized medicine upon all of us. Private insurance should be an incentive offered by employers for hiring well-qualified employees, and for those who want and can afford "premium" insurance packages.

It would be great if we could stop subsidizing the insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, and all the others profiting excessively from the Health Care industry. Then we could focus on providing quality care programs to keep Americans healthy, encourage healthier lifestyles, and pay all medical workers fairly for the valuable work they do. Whether it's a private national co-op, a non-profit organization, or the government, we need someone working in the public interest to provide a quality, basic health care program for all Americans.

Robert, I would be interested to know what I wrote that you disagree with.
I have long had myself convinced that the veracity of my every utterance is well beyond question.
I am absolutely shocked that anyone could entertain an opinion to the contrary!
If you need more bullets to fire at me, try these.
Robert, if you had ever lived in a country with a "public option", as I have, you would realize that that is the worst of the proposed reforms, and really no "reform" at all.
We have had a public option for many years, and every one of those years has brought us ever higher healthcare costs. Why, if the public option is the cure?
Any public option will lead to forcing socialized medicine upon all of us, which violates the constitutional right of freedom of association of all of us who don't want that, but want our private healthcare options, will further encourage personal irresponsibility in health choices, making our nation even more unhealthy, will do nothing to address the real reasons of rising costs of healthcare, thus allowing the costs to continue rising, will provide abysmally worse healthcare service, and will cut the incomes of healthcare providers, causing even greater shortages of doctors and other healthcare workers.
Except for artificially high costs, due to government-instituted monopolies, our healthcare system is the best in the world.
Anyone who says otherwise is a liar, which goes double for the United Nations!
There are not 36 nations to which more foreigners travel to get the healthcare that they cannot get in their own countries!
We should not throw the baby out with the bathwater, just because it is a little dirty! We need to protect the baby we have, and dump only the dirty water!
We must eliminate the unholy trust alliance between the government, the ABA, AMA, ADA, APhA, the FDA, and the ICE, allowing an increase in the number of doctors and nurses, plus available nutrients and drugs, thus increasing choices and competition. Until we can eliminate Medicare and Medicaid, and have a private national co-op, or mutual, like AMASS, provide basic catastrophic health and life insurance for all who need it, we should immediately start encouraging personal responsibility in health choices by requiring progressive co-pay rates based upon the weight and risky behaviors of the insured persons.
