ENERGY PARTY for ARKANSAS

For the future of our children and to make this place a better world before we pass it to them

Location: Benton, Arkansas
Members: 22
Latest Activity: Feb 13

Dear Arkansans and Our Fellow Citizens:

We have created The Energy Party and the E. solutions: Education, Environment, Energy, Economy, Employment, Equality, Equal taxation, Equal Healthcare, Enforcement of the law, the Engagement of the military to protect the people of the United States of America and the EFFORTS of all of us to save our children’s future, for our future. We will evolve into an American party for everyone, of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Our forefathers established a firm foundation grounded in prosperous democracy. We have seen the beginnings of erosion to this foundational legacy. We hear the cry of the American people for leaders of worth to rise and guide the nation to rebuild, support, honor, and defend that legacy. We believe that becoming an independent nation once again, free of foreign oil is a plausible and urgent goal. We feel that this agenda is directly related to the goals of the Pickens Plan. T. Boone Pickens has invested his money, his time and his heart into creating a peaceful but effective revolution to bolster this great nation. Accomplishing these lofty goals will take the support of our governmental leaders. It is our intention to be ready with this movement that will enable us to make these changes after the 2010 elections. We are here for a common cause that is worth fighting for and from which the fight will bond us all together.

The failure of our two party political system to lead, protect, defend, and secure this great country has motivated the general populous to push for reformation of our inept and corrupted government. When in the course of events and with what has conspired in the past weeks, months, years with the economy and environment we must include these efforts with energy if we are to survive. Many are joined for this common cause. We stand as a powerful force to be recognized; our voices will be heard.

Join us in this bold plan. Invite your friends and your family to become part of this momumental effort. We welcome your contributions to the blogs, discussions and plans for the growth and the future of this party.

I created SEE. I devoted 30 years of my life developing SEE. What is your opinion?

Sincerely,
Thomas Peterson

Hey Thomas,

I think it is easier for me to just refer to you as Thomas, Thomas. Especially now that I'm also having exchange with Tom Bailey. I'm sure you caught that in my reply to both Tom and yourself in the email below.

Thomas, so you know....I just now left the HRS private group. Certainly nothing against you or SEE but I can see that I am not going to be able to be effective there in forwarding SEE. The best way that I can serve SEE is to keep pushing ahead with my development of GEEE, which SEE is a core component of. Of course, I will remain as a member in SEE Global and SEE PP and maintain activity in both. The primary use and benefit that I observe for those sites is that they serve to legitimize, introduce and orient new people to SEE. But I do not see that they are all that useful or viable as for the purpose of organizing.

Speaking of GEEE, as I have mentioned before, I have been working (actually stuggling) with writing a proposal for the purpose of pushing GEEE into the next stage of development. Usually, I do not have a problem in getting words onto a page but for whatever the reason I had completely bogged down in regards to writing this proposal. However, late last night I finally broke through the wall of inertia and the words began to flow. At this rate I should have it finished by the end of the week. It will be presented in several parts.

I will write more soon but will use your off PP email.

Have a good week Thomas.

RE: my suggestion about coming up with legislation to propose to the state for the establishment of a CNG center in Little Rock and conversion of the state fleet to CNG, as suggested by Tracey (?) with PP who had to resign as leader for the AR02 group. It's a great suggestion, and if we could track down federal energy dollars that would fund or partially fund such and effort, that would be a huge step forward. Drafting legislation and taking it to our state reps to find sponsors would be the next step. Pushing on this sort of thing and having drafted legislation and a funding source in hand would get the attention of our state legislature, and in turn our local officials. That's really a great place to start; they're far more answerable to the citizens and the process of expenditures is far more transparent on those levels. Any monies would also hit the economy much faster by going thru local and state agencies - not to mention the possible creation of new energy-sector jobs. It's a good time to be on the ground floor of such endeavors; those jobs are going to go to those states that are in the forefront.

Here's the project in Maryland/it's to provide stations (centers) with the E-8 alternative fuel (85% Ethanol/15% Gas) for their state fleet of flex-cars. It would take legislation similar to what was used in Maryland to propose the same for Arkansas, but with a CNG center and conversion in; researching the Maryland project might help find where funding for the project came from. It might likely be a source that could fund the CNG thing in Arkansas.

Maryland Governor Announces Plans for New Transportation Fuel System/Construction set for four E85 facilities to fuel state agency vehicles./

Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley, Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown, and state administration officials gathered on August 5 to present a roadmap for a new transportation fuel system in the state. The first action item will be construction of four E85 fuel pumps to help fill the 1,200 flex-fuel vehicles in the state's fleet. E85 is a blend of fuel that contains 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline.

O'Malley outlined the roadmap's three strategies:

Expansion of Biofuels Use
The Department of General Services will be required to use a 5% blend of biodiesel in the state vehicle fleet wherever possible.
Transition to Electric Vehicles
O'Malley has asked the Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) and other agencies to identify specific steps for accelerating a transition to alternative vehicles, including electric and plug-in electric hybrid vehicles.
Public Awareness Campaign
The MEA is launching a campaign to provide families with driving and vehicle maintenance tips to save money and fuel.
"With the proper state leadership, alternative vehicles such as E85 cars and plug-in electric hybrids can become common on Maryland's roads during the next 10 years," said MEA Director Malcolm D. Woolf. "By reducing our reliance on foreign oil, Maryland can advance our economic security, our national security, and our environmental security at the same time."

C.W. Showalter

Dennis sure likes you, he spanked my hand a little while ago concerning you.

I had visions of the Nuns coming for me again with their rulers.

I like your comments.

I think he is wanting to spread the work to fifty other people.

Or the ability to spread the word faster.
