On an algae biofuels facility install hot water solar panels on all exterior surfaces of a building housing a steam turbine generator. This is to keep the generator at a hot idle during daylight hours when PV solar panels generate all power the facility requires +25% as a buffer. All excess power from the PV solar panels is sent to the grid for payment during daylight hours. At dusk, a quantity of either fuel, oil, or algae cake is used for fuel to run the generator during the hours of darkness with all excess power from the generator being sent to the grid for payment.
Running a steam turbine generator this way has a minimal carbon footprint, uses no petroleum or coal and best of all, this system eliminates the enormous banks of expensive and toxic batteries usually associated with a PV solar farm.
How would you intend on making "clean" electricity? Don't wait, post it now!
