Our Web Media Voice Blitz Is On!!! The link is[www.pickensplan.com/virtualmarch] I copied an explanation of what it is, we neeeeeeeeeeed to participate in this>>>

The Pickens Plan is organizing a Virtual March on Washington to be held April 1-3, 2009. So what is a "Virtual March"?

We are going to utilize the size and unique capabilities of the New Energy Army to have an enormous impact on the White House and Congress. The Army will focus its energy during those three days on e-mails, calls and faxes to every Member of Congress.

Between now and then we will be engaging in a series of activities to get ready for the event, including:

* Contacting Members of Congress through email and phone calls to encourage support for key aspects of the Pickens Plan.
* Recruiting new members of the Army in every Congressional District.
* Submitting letters to the editor and op-eds to newspapers around the country.
* Holding district meetings and house parties with members of the Army to discuss ways to have an impact.
* Participating in webcast events.

We will be communicating with members of the Army via email, Push, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and LinkedIn to build support and enthusiasm for the event. Make sure you are connected to us on any of these platforms where you have a profile!

If you haven't yet joined your District Group, click here to find your group and join.

Be sure to take photos and videos of your activities over the next couple months - we will soon be inviting you to submit items to be featured here on the Virtual March homepage.

Sign up today to participate in the Virtual March and recruit your friends and family to join you!

(If you are interested in visiting your Members of Congress during the virtual march, please contact your Regional and/or District Leader for more information.)

Dear Friends

I have a Plan

Im going to get a little personal about me with you.
I Just finished a Drywall & Paint Job and realized the awesome earning potential I have within my grasp If I had 10 or more people just like me we could increase profits 10 fold maybe more. Im not saying this to soloist anyone or sell anything this is just a possible solution to raise capital to advance our projects like Energy Bonds Green Jobs and promote the best of our best Ideas. For 30 years I have been meeting all my family needs within my means with just the help of my wife.
My thought is this lets all network with one another our jobs what we do best refering one another for work and taking 10% or what ever of the job refered and put 5% into a We the People Account & the other 5% to the one who refered the job.
Mr. Pickens has spent over 50 Million of his own Money, Tell me why we all can't pull together and do this. I think most of us here part of the 77 Million Baby Boomers, I have 10-15 years left in me to sucure our Grandkids Furture.

So what do you think ?
Am I Dreaming :o} Or can we or are we willing. The only Power the Government has over us is what We the people Give them.
I'm really afraid of what I'm seeing where they are going.

SC-01 Energy Exposition
Horry County, South Carolina- Pickens Plan members are organizing the first ever GO GREEN EXPO on April 18th, 2009 in an effort to support and celebrate Local businesses that are taking on Green Energy initiatives. This includes all businesses that sell, promote, recycle and/or use products that benefit both people and the Earth.

What is the Pickens Plan??? Included in this packet is information for you to read with details about the Pickens Plan and what this dedicated group of individuals is trying to accomplish by getting the word out to the general public regarding these very important issues facing the United States of America!

This GO GREEN EXPO, promoted by the members of the Pickens Plan of Horry County, is an invitation to local business owners to set up a booth to highlight their Green methods, products and ideas.

***Due to liability issues, only those products and methods that have been tested and declared safe to people and the environment can be featured in your display***

As mentioned before, this is the very first GO GREEN EXPO. The hope is many people will come and explore this event. This will give participating businesses an opportunity to get the attention of a like minded audience.

If your business offers products and services that benefit the lives of all people and the Earth, you must take advantage of this opportunity!

We are asking that all participants give a cash and/or green service or product donation.
Money collected from this event will go to pay for necessities such as on site, public toilets, trash collection/removal and electricity.
Donations of green related services and/or products will be given out as raffle prizes to those attending .

The GO GREEN EXPO location is 259 Landmark Road, off of Route 501, approximately 4 miles north of the Wal-Mart Super Center in Conway. The Expo will be open to the public from 10 AM to 6 PM.

We will have speakers talking to the attendees regarding the importance of the recycling and conserving of energy. Pickens Plan members will speak out against the exporting of US wealth to foreign countries for fuels and energy. Additionally, they will be introducing ideas about new energy and fuel production methods.

We are excited to include that we are in contact with Ed Matricardi, South Carolina State representative of the Pickens Plan Team, who is trying to arrange his schedule so that he can attend and speak at this event. Further, he has enlisted the help of the national Pickens Plan Team in Dallas, TX, to put together a package of materials pertinent to our event, including but not limited to signage and printed information to hand out to the attendees. Additionally, they will be helping us drive media interest to our event. We are very excited to have help on the state and national level!

WON'T YOU PLEASE JOIN US?????

If you are interested in participating in this first ever GO GREEN EXPO, please contact Dawn Owens via email at Dawn.owens@gmail.com.

Participation Notification Deadline is March 20th.

The Pickens Plan Team of Horry County thanks you for your participation in this very important initiative.

As I've mentioned in the few posts I've made since joining the ARMY a couple of weeks ago, I believe the best way to promote the movement is by working locally. With small business, local governments, local forums, local news outlets, etc.
I was happy to see that the Town of Hempstead, NY on Long Island has taken the initiative to experiment with hydrogen and CNG with the long term goal of using the technology to fuel buses and other municipal vehicles.
Here the the URL for the article that appeared in Newsday, a large regional newspaper:

From the desk of T. Boone Pickens

Army!

The battle for the stimulus package is over and – thanks to you – we were very successful on the wind side of the Pickens Plan.

Here is the list of items which are included in the stimulus package:

A 3-year Production Tax Credit (PTC) extension through the end of 2012

An option to elect a 30% Investment Tax Credit (ITC) in place of the PTC

An option to convert the Investment Tax Credit into a grant for projects placed in service in 2009, or 2010, or placed in service before 2013 provided construction begins in 2009 or 2010

A new $6 billion Department of Energy renewable energy and transmission loan guarantee program, which should fund around $60 billion in principal amount of guaranteed loans

Authority for the Western Area Power Administration to borrow up to $3.25 billion from the Treasury to build renewable transmission lines in the western United States, including western Texas

Did the New Energy Army have an impact?

Absolutely.

Last summer, when we started this effort, no one would have believed that 1.4 million Americans would join together to affect energy legislation in the Congress of the United States.

But last week alone, over a 3 day period, we generated over 60,000 emails to Members of the United States House and Senate urging their support.

You can like or dislike the stimulus package, and I’m not qualified enough to speak to the entire package or its economic prospects.

But I do know energy, and I know the aspects of the stimulus plan that address this subject are critical and beneficial.

But they are also a first step.

We’ve still got more work to do to end our dependence on foreign oil, especially on the natural gas side of the Pickens Plan.

I said on CNBC that the battle now shifts to the House and Senate Energy Committees to begin moving the country from imported gasoline and diesel to domestic natural gas.

I’ll be coming back to you in the next few days with a plan to have a serious impact on foreign oil.

Pat yourselves on the back. Take ten. Then get ready to saddle up and start again.

Thank you.

-Boone

I just contacted six members that may get a sanctioned answer of time etc. and will share as soon as reply comes back to me. We gotta-gotta -gotta do this thing or our web voice will desolve into a vain whisper and just die in politics as usual. Thank you Victor for following up on this imperitive for pickens energy success. Sincerely Leland.

Great comment Lealand and you are right it must be planed now to get it done. I have ask everyone to work together to make this happen and that is the only way it is going to happen. We can get everyone there that wants to go some how. We just have to get it moving as a real plan to do it and when to do it.I do not care about a hotel I may be disabled but I will sleep in my wheelchair with a blanket if that is what it takes. I just hope there are more people that are that willing to make this happen.

The June or July "Walk On Washington" as a concerted "Pickens Energy Army" statement of resolve; is looking better and better as a major turning point from our mere web conversing, that seems to be falling upon deaf ears. Let our comfort zone be damned for a week in support of Sustainable Clean Energy, before our earth is desecrated to utter destruction forever. Date and time-Busing yes or no-Ride share available-Tent/sleeping bag permits-Hotel reservations-??? Plan ahead now, and just do the right thing. Leland
