American Stations for American Fuels

When a new CNG station is built, the storage is either a tube or a sphere. The Tubes = India. Spheres = American built.

I'll Buy an NGV If...

When you see a CNG station, and there are thousands in the USA right now, the gas is stored in either a sphere or a tube. The tubes are manufacutured her in America but the company is head-quartered in India.

Boone says he is for everything American, and so am I. That is why we manufacture our sphere right here in the heartland of America. And guess what, the profits stay right here in America and help fuel our economy by growing an American company.

When Tubes are used, the money fuels India's economy, which is also one of the quickest growing oil purchasing nations in the world.

We need American made fuel from American made refueling stations. Join this group and help us encourage CNG station installers, such a Clean Energy Fuels, to buy American. Clean Energy Fuels purchases and estimated $18 Million worth of Tubes from an India based company. Lets encourage them to buy American, buy Spheres.

All storage of CNG is manufactured to either DOT or AMSE spec. In the case of stationary storage, the units are manufactured to ASME Section VIII Div 1 or 2, 2 is usually used for the higher pressures.

If a unit is manufactured to such spec, the operating tempurature range is 20 degrees F to 200 degrees F, which is measured in terms of the unit being held at that temp for 5 as straight. They can also have a Charpy Impact test performed on the steel, this will give the unit a range of -20 degrees F to 200 degrees F.

I have never seen a state have 5 days of 200 degree weather and stations in the north that may have degrees of -20 for more than 5 days in a row usually place the units in a metal building with a heater.

Does that answer your question?

Anything else you are curious about, feel free to hit me up.
