Before installing solar panels or a windturbine in your home or business you should install a ground source or geothermal heat pump to save 50-70% of your electric energy. By saving 50-70% of your electric energy you only have to put in half as many solar panels of half the size of the windturbine to get 100% energy savings. A tax credit of 30% is available to install a Geothermal Heat Pump System. I just had one installed in a new home I am building. I took pictures and video of the complete installation. You can find the videos on Pickens Plan.

The University Program Council and the North Texas Energy and Environment Club are co-sponsoring an open discussion lecture “Change 2 Sustain,” at the University of North Texas in Denton. The free event will feature sustainability expert Joshua Skov and will begin at 6 p.m. Nov. 20 in the Environmental Science Building, Room 130. Skov’s lecture, “Campus Climate Action and Green Jobs: Solving the Climate Crisis, Training for the Future” will address how the campus sustainability movement is growing, with a recent focus on addressing climate change and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. His presentation will highlight recent research on dramatic economy-wide opportunities for cost-saving efficiency measures, and the new training and skills needed to realize those savings. Joshua Skov is co-founder and principal director of the Oregon-based Good Company, www.goodcompany.com, a research and consulting firm focused on sustainability and climate change. Skov’s student directed conversation will coincide with two other workshops he will be instructing Nov. 20 and 21 at Dallas Theological Seminary and Texas Woman’s University directed towards education facilities professionals. Welcome Mean Green!

To get Pickens U started off right, take time right now and invite 5 friends to join! The more soldiers Boone has in his New Energy Army, the more impact we will have during the first 100 days of the next Administration!
