The United States has, since 911, become very aware of any vulnerability that exists in our national defenses. We have done a great deal to tighten our security but in the area of energy we remain somewhat defenseless. I say this because, by importing 70% of the fuel that we use to produce energy, we leave our whole infrastructure wide open to attack.

Oil tankers and pipelines are virtually undefended across vast stretches of the globe and a concerted attack on our energy supply line could cripple our country in a fairly short period of time.

If however we move toward self sufficiency in producing energy we eliminate this risk. We are much better able to protect our infrastructure within our borders than we are able to do it across the globe.

This is just one more reason why we MUST develop a plan whereby we produce most or all of our own fuel domestically. Nearly 100,000 of us at The Pickens Plan are working toward a plan for domestic energy production.

This has been pointed out by many experts as a good reason NOT to drill in The Alaska Wildlife Area. Freezin' cold. If a Pipeline were to be blown, be major diaster.

Anyway, most Alaska Oil goes to Japan! What kinda sense does that make?
Ship North American Oil to Japan, Tank Middle Eastern Oil to North America!

*NOTE: What we really need are People in Office who can think straight,
an' arn;t a bunch of theiving cons, like the Republicans we've got there, an' in Alaska...

Answer is not MORE OIL. It's CONSERVE,
(What part of: CONSERVE don't these Conservatives Understand?!!).

Switch to the "OTHER ALT FUEL: NG"! And ween off of Oil.

Ain't that what Boone's been saying???

Seems to me that one of our contingencies resulted in a statement by the opposing government that THE US WOULD BE BEATEN ECONOMICALLY RATHER THAN ON THE BATTLEFIELD. On this point, we are not looking terribly successful. Nothing like helping the enemy.

The first goal has to be to FIX THE ECONOMY. This includes KEEPING US ASSETS ($$$) HERE. We need to give up the idea that the whole world has to do it our way. As our constitution says. Mind our own business and only get involved when it directly threatens us. We do not need to save the world. It would be nice if we could saved our own butt for once.

Stop sending our dollars out of the country at the drop of a hint. $700 Billion for oil is a nice starting point. $48 Billion to Africa for Aids, $30 Billion to Israel. I could go on and on. And the wire transfers to Mexico from illegals.

Charity needs to start at home for the foreseeable future. We are no longer able to play Santa Claus to the world.

Pickens Plan for windpower needs to be supported. Failure to support is a showstopper for either candudate (not a misspelling). Both are duds. Once again, it is voting against rather than for a candidate. Mitt Romney for VP could help this decision if McCain could shut his piehole and listen to sound business advice once in a while.
