Lets keep this for "American's " and not a political party...

I realize this site is open to all groups and Americans - so I can see why this group would take advantage of that... and if they do - so will others....but I am tired of everything being about a party and not about the "people"

I would not have joined this group - as I don't want to be associated with either group --- but it was required in order to leave a comment.

I think Americans are tired of not having a voice... this site has given it back to them. It would be best for politicians to study public response and learn from the comments.

Most are sending emails to politicians and getting form letters in return - why would they think politicians would listen to them at all - when they recieve such response.

It was very disapointing to see a failed effort to develop an energy policy this past week... I am tired of picking a party to support... I am ready for a party, person or plan.. to support me as a working American.

My family is hard working & tax paying --- has been for generations. I am proud to be an American but feel unappreciated by my Government.

I am tired of living with the OPEC Plan for America - I am glad to see the idea's and leadership in the Pickens Plan.

I will remain ' non-partisan' in this effort also.

Sorry folks - I agree – We the people of the PickensPlan represent a NON-PARTISAN movement. We are taking T. Boone Pickens at his word – he’s a republican – who will vote for a republican – yet, is fighting for America – he will profit – and so will America. KEEP THIS SITE NON-PARTISAN!

The RNC wants our viewthey can – Sign Up/Sign In – to discuss with all of us – Dem, Rep, & Ind. The RNC knows what the re-vamp of our energy infrastructure needs to be. I joined this group – GOP Platform – because I had to in order to leave a comment – that restriction – reflects the exclusion policies, of our current party platform. Our party needs to reflect a much wider view. Moderate views exist out here – and if not given voice – we moderates will disappear – and the RNC won’t be able to elect any republican for quite some time. KEEP THIS SITE NON-PARTISAN!
What? Are you flattered by the RNC attention? Get a grip! Go to the RNC site and leave your views there. What? They aren’t listening to the comments left on the RNC site? The minute this site is no longer perceived as non-partisan – ¾ of the members will be gone! I’m gone! And T. Boone Pickens ought to be gone too! KEEP THIS SITE NON-PARTISAN!

What is next? Is this site, The PICKENSPLAN.COM – going to endorse the RNC platform? IT CAN’T! This is a non-partisan site! We the people are speaking to both parties! KEEP THIS SITE NON-PARTISAN!

Sorry, I don't mean to distract from Kurt's post. Please see his comments below. We should follow his recommendations and issue feedback as he suggests.

OK Kurt, Great suggestion. Here's my Feedback:

I've seen the Pickens Plan take an increasingly partisan stance. The most recent being the insertion of the RNC's platfrom as the centerpiece of the main page. Either offer DNC equal opportunity or remove this political nonsense. I've written a letter of warning to the Democratic party voicing my concerns and I will voice my views directly to the Obama campaign as well. While I am an Obama volunteer, this is the first time I have mentioned his name in any forum or anywhere on this site. I joined Pickens in the early going with the hopes of seeing a bipartisan consensus on energy.. I am quite prepared to end my association or lend my support to the opposition if you decide to endorse either presidential candidate.

Thank You,

Hank Kelly

tell Pickens to either add the DNCs info or remove the RNCs info off their main community page.

Go to the bottom of the page and click on Feedback and ,if you agree with me, write...

Please either remove the RNC information or add the DNCs information. This is a non-partisan effort and right now it doesn't appear to be non-partisan. A concerned and active member.
Sincerely,

Wow Lex, we actually agree on something, You really are fairminded. I take back all those cracks about kryptonite. I might even vote for you if you ever run for mayor of Metropolis, as an independant of course.

SERIOUSLY THOUGH:

I find having a reference to the:

Republican National Convention Platform Committee w/a
LINK to their Site to be blatantly OFFENSIVE!!!

What after 8 years, they now want some suggestions?

Why not call on Bush's charalitan freako minister, the 1 whom councles him in the Oval Office...
This con- instead of the Nation's, or World's TOP Scientist, and Minds... Whom he could summon if he had the I.Q. to do so...
Preaches "2nd comming in Our Lifetimes..."
Is this where Our Middle East Policy has been conjured-up? Think Christ is gonna come back and clean-up the Mess??? How that for a Suggestion!
Ugh- No worry...
We'll just wait till Jesus comes back and cleans-up Our messes...

PLEASE!!! URGENTLY!!!
Remove any reference to this bummer "Party" from the FrontPage of this PP Site, or risk having this whole, entire effort Fold, and Fail!!!

Not every American can be duped, or fooled... Not even 1ce. Shame, as those whom were fooled have: Damned US All!!!

Way to go Kenn, Michael and Phil, I'm with you. Keep your comments coming. I will give myself a little credit. Not that I've said anything profound, but I was the first to pick up on the this GOP Platform Post featured on the Main page and the first to make a comment objecting to it. Remember when member forums and input were prominently posted? If you wanna follow those discussions you better be good at accessing the archives. Now if they want to showcase the Republican platform then let's concentrate our efforts right here. Maybe this ploy will backfire on them. I am very disappointed in Pickens decision to take this direction. I joined this movement with an open-minded, non political idealistic hope. I now find myself becoming skeptical and suspicious of what this former swift boater wants to accomplish.

I've come to the astute realization that conservatism is a form, an outward I.D. of a serious type of deep depression; mental illiness.

Rooted in sexual frustration, and an inalienation of 1's natural sense of animal self. Distorted by a synthetic mental block.

I.E. Freudian. Neurotic at best -

They hate themselves, and so hate everybody.

Goppers Motto: "If I ain't having a good time, than no1 else will!". They don't even like each other.

Every effort Americans can take to keep these Goppers out of Office should be put into play- pronto.

Else, they'll be Goppin' on us all again for another 4 years,
'an I just don't think I could tollarate the stink O dat!!!

MY SUGGESTION TO THE U.S.A.: Reform the Automotive industry NOW!!!

Absolutely! Picken's really needs to be careful!

I've alrerady heard from many non-neurotics who feel that this PP is just some sort of CON.

Please REMOVE any reference to the GOP Pronounced: "Gop". We're sick of "Gop"!

I'm supporting NADER.

Feel like I should have bought NG 2 years ago.

I think this (PP Site) is a very (+) positive effort!

The issue of incentives for solar and wind have been debated in the Senate for many months at least. The Republicans have blocked these initiatives, not once or twice but FOUR times. A big part of the Pickens plan is wind energy. If they could be persuaded to at least stop their obstructionism then clean renewable energy might become a reality. Sadly, they are consumed with pressuring for drilling in ANWAR and offshore, or for that matter any other item that may benefit the oil companies. In reality this only extends our future dependance on foreign oil. Can anybody out there explain to them that even if they have their way with their drilling plans it will only, at best, satisfy 3% of our domestic needs?...That the other 97% will still be imported from our enemies. Will you open your eyes and face the facts? Or do you need to hear it from Rush Limbaugh or Rupert Murdock?
