If the Pickens plan (which I support) supported a National Energy Lottery (see blog below) proposal and the 4 million followers donated 5 bucks a week for this Energy Raffle, there would be 800 winners a week or 41,600 winners a year of a $25,000 voucher good only for Renewable products, ie; solar, wind, hybrid, energy green appliances, etc...and be fully transferrable as well. Take advantage of the Fed's energy credit and it would buy around $32,000 worth of Green product/s.

If the Pickens Plan ran this program and retained 10% for operations, not only would it generate further income for the cause but the donators would have some fun with the potential of winning this voucher and 25,000 to 1 odds. Better than a money lottery that doesn't promote going green.

At $20,000,000 a week @ 10%, that's $2,000,000 for the Pickens Plan for operations. Would certainly be enough for expanding the mission. That's over a Billion for the year! Maybe take that money and invest in a windmill manufacturing company that is owned by the workers. Spread the prosperity and have it Made in USA by the owners/workers. see entire plan at: http://nationalenergylottery.blogspot.com/
Also an inventor who has developed a prototye called Road Power. Will convert downhill vehicle traffic 24/7/365 to electricity alongside the highways of America. No Sun, Wind, Water, Land required. One unit will power approximately 3 homes per year. Looking for Angel Investors to take to next level. Would be a great asset to the Pickens Plan to get us off foreign oil even faster. Thank you, Gary

August 8, 2009—10:32 PM. The following information covers what I created starting in 1983. FREE HEATING FOREVER!
These principle’s apply to “Passive Solar heating and cooling”. Your passive solar heating system is operating and you are drawing air into your to be heated by the captive heat generated by the “Energy” captured from solar radiation.
IF you need this heat you simply “SUCK” the attic HOT AIR into the building living area. The sucking of the attic air from the attic into your living space creates a “POSITIVE” drop in attic pressure which continues pulling outside air into the attic space and continues to pull heat from the inside chamber/roof inside surface and blowing it inside your living area.
“Free passive solar heat for home or business”.
http://push.pickensplan.com/profile/Anachronism site name Look at the ten pictures and instructions for FREE PASSIVE SOLAR HEATING AND COOLING.

Now we address how you cool your passively heated home. When you have warm/heated air in your attic and you now need to cool your inside living area, specific conditions must be present. In my Vancouver project I installed a temperature sensor at the outside of the building near the intake vent to tell the system that there was outside air suitable to “cool” the interior temperature to a pre-established threshold. Go to
This sensor was located 10 inches below the air intake into the attic passive solar heating system. When the pre-established “coolness” was achieved, the system opens the 24” vent in the upper most position on the roof and in the middle of the roof and by this action the attic HOT air rises out through this opening and by that action “SUCKS” in the cool outside air into the attic space. Another sensor in the attic space reacts, when it meets the conditions determined, and “TURNS ON” the suction fan and “SUCKS” the cool air into your home.
You can also have a second sensor in your system which will open the roof vent and simply let fresh air flow in the lower vent and flow out through the top opening. This keeps your attic cool when you don’t require either heat or cooling and keeps any potential heat buildup that could force heat into your living space.
My system is totally passive, no compressors or other means to either heat or cool the air before entering the attic space. My first project in Burlington, Wash. in 1983 first produced “SOLAR HEAT” on Dec 23 rd at 3:00 in the afternoon. I went outside to check the temperature and it was “23” degrees and when I looked at my roof, it was snowing and three inches of snow had collected on my black composition roof!
On this day the attic was producing “65” degree heat and blowing it into my storage building.
Final note: MY solar heating system can produce “HOT” air approaching 100 degrees.
Now you must decide if you want to heat and cool your home, shop or business using electric baseboards, gas furnaces, oil furnaces or those cheap to operate “HEAT PUMPS" that cost thousands to install and last a few years with their added electrical bills?

QUESTION, IS PASSIVE SOLAR HEATING AND COOLING NOT WORTH ANYTHING IN 2009? CUT YOUR HEATING AND COOLING COST TO PENNYS A DAY FOR 2 HOURS WORK AND $200 to create your free passive solar heating.

Sincerely, Anachronism

JULY 15 2009-25 years age the following was accomplished and "fully PASSIVE SOLAR" to heat and cool any home or business anywhere in the USA.
The question in a building as to both heat and cool automatically was accomplished in 1987 in Vancouver Washington. I used the attic space for 98% of the heating needs by having vents at the top of the trusses lower cord, which allowed air to enter the attic space. The fire code required a "smoke wall" to separate the first 74' into two separate chambers with a automatic fire damper closer with a fusible link that would close the damper in case of an attic fire to create separate attic spaces.
The air came into the attic space and to go from the first chamber it was forced to rise to the lower inside roof surface which then grabbed the heat from the surface and rose up along the second chamber and was then "Sucked" into the "Intake" of the gas furnace which was located 6' above the attic floor and blown into the inter of the building. This system was duplicated on the other side of the required 8" thick firewall to heat the other 74' of this building. NOW how do you cool this same project WITHOUT a separate and costly heat pump or some other complex mechanical monster? This building contained 219,240 cubic feet of space.
The space inside this building is the same as "15 homes of 1800 sq. feet" to both heat and cool. For the last 20 years it has only cost $2.00 per day for natural gas to heat this project. The cost to operate the furnace squirrel cage fan is the amount it takes to operate a 1/3 HP fan system. How can you TOTALLY COOL this structure to 68 degrees using the ATTIC SOLAR COLLECTION space and with "NO" intervention or work by the owner or the managers AND no system to produce the "COOLING" required to maintain the specific differential in temperatures? I built a separate control system, which determines the outside air space; the air outside the building shell must be 65 degrees at a position 26 feet above the ground.
( Typical single story homes are 18' at the peak and produce all the cooling outside air you need.)
This building is 28’ tall at the peak of the 8” thick firewall separating the building into two elements. ALL the cooling air is free for “SUCKING” from outside by the use of 4’ round opening in the roof 4’ form the fire separation wall. Hot air rises, or does it "DROP"? I simply opened the roof vents and the “HOT” air rushes out and it creates an automatic “Suction” at the lower vents at the ceiling line where air is allowed to enter the attic space.
The hot air rising cause a “Suction” in the attic space to completely fill with “Nice cool night air” and when the sensors decide the “NEW” attic air is now suitable for the cooling needs, the roof vents automatically close and the “Suction” fans located inside the interior furnace units turn on and simply suck in this “FREE” cooled air.
There is no cost to cool the building beyond the cost of running two 1/8-hp. Squirrel cage fans. When the interior space has reached the required temperature, either cool or heated, everything simply shuts down, the roof vents close and waits for instructions with no human intervention.
The system is completely automatic and the required interior temperature on the lower floor sets the conditions for the complete building. In other words when the temperature is set to 68 or 70 for the inside of the building, the system automatically adds heat if needed or waits for conditions to occur for cooling the inside.
I guess the above is impossible? The system described will WORK in any building or HOME with a typical truss roof system. Sincerely Anachronism, arclockventuri@gmail.com

The alternate economy has to start from the bottom up. It can not be legislated, but it can be encouraged by removing restrictions that prevent individuals from acting in their own best interests towards becoming self-sufficient and energy independent. And you will notice that in a sustainable economy the money is non interest bearing. We can not afford the overhead of too many unproductive managers and inefficient red tape.

Hey,

Right now, Congress is crafting a historic bill that could transition America to a clean energy economy: The American Clean Energy and Security Act (ACES).

But the bill needs to be strengthened to make sure America's workers and communities fully benefit from the clean energy economy.

I just wrote to my Representatives, asking them to strengthen the bill by investing in a green-collar workforce and improving access to good jobs for low-income Americans.

Will you write too?

Green jobs growing at twice national average
Sector has grown more than 9 percent in a decade, study finds
The Associated Press updated 4:00 p.m. PT, Wed., June 10, 2009
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31212185/

NEW YORK - The fledgling renewable energy industry has grown steadily over much of the past decade, adding jobs at more than twice the national rate, according to a Pew Charitable Trusts study released Wednesday.

Solar and wind-power companies, energy-efficient light bulb makers, environmental engineering firms and others expanded their work force by 9.1 percent from 1998 to 2007, the latest year available, according to Pew.

The average job growth in all industries was 3.7 percent during the same period.

Message to send to Congress from Green For All

Please strengthen the American Clean Energy & Security Act of 2009 (ACESA), crafted through the leadership of Chairmen Henry Waxman and Ed Markey.

It's about time we had a comprehensive clean energy and jobs bill to usher in a new green economy for America.

While the bill is an important first step, I'm concerned that it does not do enough to provide opportunity for America's workers and communities.

I'm writing to ask you to strengthen the bill by investing in America's green-collar workforce and including job training opportunities for low-income communities.

**********
1. Provide Green Pathways out of Poverty
**********
Right now, there are no resources allocated in ACESA to train the vast majority of workers in this country. If we do not prepare workers for the energy-efficiency and renewable energy jobs that ACESA creates, we will be unable to match those jobs with the skilled workers they require.

The Green Jobs Act trains workers, particularly those from disadvantaged communities, for jobs in the clean energy economy - and leverages significant private sector money in doing so. Please support the allocation of 0.5% of emission allowances to the Green Jobs Act in ACESA.

**********
2. Improve Access to Good Jobs
**********
Ensure that green jobs are good jobs, and accessible to all members of a community. Include targeted hiring provisions to ensure that clean energy jobs go to local workers, and workers from low-income communities. Target a substantial percentage of the construction jobs ACESA will create to low-income and other under-represented individuals. And use community workforce agreements to ensure strong labor standards.

**********

The ACESA has the potential to expand opportunity and equality in the clean energy economy for all Americans. Right now, it is falling short of that potential.

Let's work together to create legislation that taps the true potential of the American workforce and a clean energy economy.

Thank you for your leadership.
