POWERING TOMORROW’S WORLD… ONE BUILDING AT A TIME.
We want to help you save money, improve your life through reduced energy consumption and conservation, while protecting our environment from global climate and environmental pollution.
Over 40% of the energy consumed in the United States of America is accounted for by home energy. About another 40% is likely consumed by commercial buildings. Although we encourage people to take every measure possible to make environmentally sound choices in their lives, it is important to know that they can make significant changes with small but important changes. We refer to the TOTAL of these changes as HYBRID HOME ENERGY SYSTEMS. Here are ways that you can save energy today and ELIMINATE your electric power bill:
1. Fight "phantom" energy. Phantom energy is used by all electronics that are plugged in but aren't in use. It is estimated that phantom energy accounts for 5% to 8% of your electricity bill. We recommend that you purchase a SMART POWER STRIP and check your upcoming appliances with the EnergyStar approved list. Additionally replace incandescent lighting with COMPACT FLORESCENT of LED LAMPS.
2. TINT YOUR WINDOWS. and learn about other ways to improve the energy efficiency of your HOME AND COMMERCIAL BUILDING WINDOWS
3. INSTALL A POWER FACTOR DEVICE. Every motor, solenoid, transformer, solenoid and coil in your electric system introduces inductance, which throws the current out of phase with the voltage. By balancing the phase of your current and voltage, you will substantially reduce the unused power by about 20% to 25%. This will reflect on your Electric Bill. In addition a higher power factor will improve the efficiency of all inductive devices and allow them to run cooler. We cannot recommend this device highly enough. It is the first step in REALLY ELIMINATING your ELECTRIC POWER BILL.
4. INSTALL A SOLAR ATTIC FAN. When the temperature climbs above 82ºF and you decide to use air conditioning, you can shut the windows and crank up the air knowing that the attic fan will save up to 30% on cooling costs by getting rid of trapped super hot air that tends to collect in attics and cause heat to back up into the home. Attic temperatures can get up to 150ºF without an attic fan. Attic fans create a positive air-flow through your attic that does not rely on wind or require excessive passive venting. Excessive passive venting can cause excessive moisture infiltration in the form of snow or rain. The attic fan is normally mounted up on the roof of the home toward the back about two feet down from the peak. It goes on and off automatically with a thermostat, so it only runs when it is beneficial. This will reflect on your electric bill with a reduction of about 20% to 25%
5. INSTALL SOLAR (THERMAL) HOT WATER. Heating you water with solar power is the most common form of "green" action taken by Floridians. Your electric hot water heater uses more power than any other appliance in the building with the A/C being next. Again you can see a power reduction of about 20% to 25%. We cannot recommend this device highly enough. It is the third step in REALLY ELIMINATING your ELECTRIC POWER BILL.
6. INVEST IN SOLAR (PV) POWER ARRAY. In the state of Florida, SOLAR POWER has never been more affordable with TAX CREDITS and REBATES. We live in the Sunshine State, and each Floridian now has the opportunity to create and finance their own power with their own PRIVATELY OWNED UTILITY, which is connected to the grid and therefore can SELL SURPLUS POWER just like any utility.
7. INVEST IN A (VAWT) VERTICAL AXIS WIND TURBINE to pick up the other FLORIDA RESOURCE produced by the sun. “You get the SUN in the Morning and the WIND at Night”.
Below you will find resources to learn about how to improve energy everywhere in your home.

At CATCH THE WIND we believe there is more to HOME or COMMERCIAL BUILDING ENERGY than JUST SOLAR. That is why we offer a HYBRID RENEWABLE ENERGY SYSTEM (HyRES). The CTW approach to the HyRES is to first employ POWER CONSUMPTION REDUCTION DEVICES before we design your SOLAR (PV) SYSTEM and your WIND GENERATION SYSTEM, thereby SAVING YOU MONEY.
CTW offers consultation, design, installation, and services through our trained consultants.
Call or e-mail us now for an inspection and evaluation of your facilities. We can help you save energy, money and lower you carbon footprint. Let us design an ALTERNATIVE, AFFORDABLE HYBRID RENEWABLE ENERGY SYSTEM for you, FREE.
Whether you are looking to eliminate your electric bill, tighten and improve your building envelope, install a solar domestic hot water system, a solar photovoltaic system, and/or a wind-powered generator we can guide you in the right direction and recommend the best solutions.
We can reduce your lighting bill, improve your appliance and air conditioning efficiency, recommend emergency power systems, design solar systems, provide insulation that strengthens and seals your home while reducing and offsetting greenhouse gasses and pollution.
According to many renewable energy experts, a stand-alone "HYBRID" system that combines wind, photovoltaic (PV) Solar (THERMAL) water heater our technologies offers several advantages over single system of Solar Only. In much of the United States, wind speeds are low in the summer when the sun shines brightest and longest. The wind is strong in the winter when there is less sunlight available. Because the peak operating times for wind and PV occur at different times of the day and year, HYBRID systems are more likely to produce power when you need it.
For the times when neither the wind generator nor the PV array are producing electricity (for example, at night when the wind is NOT blowing), your house/building will then depend on your public utility or a battery back-up should you desire one.

Happy Independence...Energy Independence!
There will be a day when your grandchildren will ask, "What was it like without windmills, Grandma? Tell me about those big smoking trucks you used to drive, Grandpa."

Mr. Pickens has started something we are in support of because we believe in American Liberty. It's what drives us and it's our values that cause others to hate us. We're free, proud and independent and one of the many things that set us apart, is we welcome others to join us. Join us in the liberty to pursue greatness.

We are many; we are one...e pluribus unum - Out of many, one!

The Pickens Plan is about Energy Independence from dictators that hate us for our values of freedom, liberty and justice for all. Together we will take back this country and become one...One nation under God!

Help me bring Mr. Pickens to the airways every week and back to The Green Revolution Show! Want a place to chat with Boone? We can share ideas and hear first hand what the Pickens Army is up to from the Pickens Army. Let Boone know that you want to hear from him weekly and have a opportunity to converse.

Your grandchildren will be asking you, "What was it like being in the Pickens Army and talking to Mr. Pickens, himself?"

Happy Independence, Pickens Army...Energy Independence!

I submit there are two action we need to take: One is to have Congress pass a RSP bill that will start down the road towards energy independant and other in the states is to enacting feed-in tariffs. Tax break don't build wealth or put our people to work. All tax breaks give are potholes in your streets. You must build a market for your products, feed-in tariffs does that. Would you like to earn $250,000 by selling wind energy into the grid or solar from your backyard by installing a 1 MW machine. You could you know! see http://www.buildamericabuild.com
