NEW ENERGY POLICY IN THE MAKING
A Bi-Partisan group of 23 Congress members have come together to form an Energy Policy, which will be voted on within the next two weeks.
This bill is called, THE PETERSON AMENDMENT.
Leaders of this group are;
John Peterson Republican Member from Pennsylvania, Web page at http://www.house.gov/johnpeterson/
Neil Abercrombie Democrat representative from Hawaii, Web page http://www.house.gov/abercrombie/
It is important that we get behind this bill and steer it in the right direction.
Another source of good information on this subject can be found on HN, Headline News, at the Glenn Beck show, which airs at 6PM Central time. He has focused on the energy crisis on his program, most of the time in the past year.
Mr. Pickens commercials are running during the program.
I think it would be great if Mr. Pickens could get a guest spot on the air with Mr. Beck to have more exposure for "The Plan".

Any and all discussion here is encouraged. We need to talk about this situation so many will fully understand the critical nature of our demand for and relance on foreign oil.
As a former oil well driller supervisor for a major oil company, I understand the limited supply of oil we face in our future. The situation right now is just the tip of the iceberg.
Gasoline will go to $50 a gallon in 10 years if we do not act now to change the future.
Please jump in with any questions or discussions. We need you to participate to make this work.

One thing I have not heard Mr. Pickens mention yet is that the USA has a 150 year reserve of natural gas supply. If as he has stated we use more natural gas for cars we would be in better shape to have this under control before we run out of Natural Gas.
There are areas of the country where we do not have pipelines nearby the production wells for oil, where the gas is burned off through flares or is reinjected into the wells. This happens at many offshore production platforms. We should not be wasting this energy.
