Why Idaho Needs a Town Meeting

The more people I talk to about conserving energy, the more I have discovered a certain amount of disconnect. There are a LOT of people willing, able and interested to contribute to a change but there's not much sense of community to this movement, no central organization as it were. People are driving less, biking more, recycling, changing lightbulbs and taking their own cloth bags to the grocery store... But no one really seems to care to talk about it much. Not everyone can afford internet. There are so many people that I would like to invite to join the PickensPlan but they simply aren't around computers that often.

A town meeting, even if it was just in Boise and not in any of the smaller towns, would probably gain news coverage. That would be an excellent way to reach out not only to all the people who could join us online but also to all these people who don't have the opportunity to join us online.
