Idaho should be a hotbed of wind energy.

Hi everyone...pleased to be a part of this Idaho group. I live in Nampa, and Yes...Idaho should take the lead in Wind Energy, and also Geothermal. Why not us? We're windy and sitting on a thin Geothermal plate. We have plenty of free and renewable energy here, we just need to tap it. Ron G.

Hi all!

There are a few things we can do to make a difference:

Locate your House and Senate representatives and send them emails:

House of Representatives
https://forms.house.gov/wyr/welcome.shtml

US Senate
http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm

One more thing we can do is call the candidates and let them know you support PP!

Obama is 866-675-2008 option 6 to speak with a live person

McCain is 703-418-2008 option 6 to leave a message

...and for more info please join us at The Gem State Initiative...

Hi Folks,
Thanks for starting this group.
I am in Idaho, too (Tetonia). Southern Idaho has a very good wind resource.
I have been trying for years to get ISU, INL and DOE interested in helping me develop my next-generation wind energy conversion system, with zero success.
If you want more info about my invention(s), click on my name.
It is encouraging to see so many diverse demographics finally beginning to understand the urgency and gravity of our situation where energy and the environment are concerned. In my opinion, self-renewing energy sources ("renewable" implies that something must be done to renew them) like wind, solar, wave, tide and geothermal, and hydrogen made with electricity produced from those sources are not just "part of" the solution to both our energy and environmental crises.
Hopefully my energy conversion technology can help make the transition to those energy sources less-costly and more rapid.
