My dear fellow Americans:
Eventhough, we endured energy crisis during their terms in office Nixon,Cater and Busch were all energy implementation procrastinators who ignored our nations need for more efficient energy production and usage. As a result we are back to square one.Can we compete oil lobby groups.I hope so.And ,that is why I am here to try to become a humble grain of sand in an ocean.
Cheers,
Cal
P.S. I am welcome to any ideas or suggestions. And,I hope to contribute some input likewise.

Energy Independence is now a major issue in the country. This I believe is a result of many issues, including Pickens Plan and the price of gas.

Both major presidental candidates acknowledge the need for an effective plan. The recent budget, ends the coastal drilling band, along with providing low costs loans to the automakers to subsidize the retooling of plants and development of technologies to help build cleaner, more efficient cars.

I have received positive letters from both Senator Durbin and Obama relative to the issue. WE NEED TO KEEP UP THE PRESSURE ON OUR GOVERNMENT.

Tax deductions and incentatives are necessary to develop and implement these technologies.

Energy Independance includes, Wind, Geothermal, Solar, Thermal Storage, Photovolaic, clean coal, nuclear, ethanol, natural gas technology, and any other potential fuel or technology.

Cost is another issue which must be addressed. Many of our options are presently available, but are not cost effective yet.

Thank you for responding. I'll pull something together in the next month or so and post an invite to everyone. I have a speaker I'd like to invite. Someone who's been in the business of advocating for energy independence for 20 years.

Anyone in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago? I'm interested in perhaps getting together and brainstorming about the ways we can initiate change in our communities.
