Yesterday Barack Obama announced he'd like Rahm Emanuel, Chicago Congressmen, as his Chief of Staff. Today Emanuel accepted the position.

He, along with Rep. Dan Boren from Oklahoma (who's endorsed the Pickens Plan
), also introduced the New Alternative Transportation to Give Americans Solutions (NAT GAS) Act to invest in natural gas vehicle infrastructure and provide American drivers a choice of how they fuel their vehicles. Aubrey McClendon of Chesapeake Energy Corp
thinks that this shows a "Democratic administration is more likely to pursue the use of CNG as a fuel,'' and that the "Democrats have been very engaged about compressed natural gas in the last few months.'' (click here for full article
I think these recent events are a very, very good sign. To me it shows Barack Obama may be looking much more closely into the Pickens Plan then originally thought!
