I'm going to be pushing for converting suburban homes (suburban basements, more specifically) into green houses for food production... by recycling the upper story materials for the construction of "stepped" framing for 52 deg. rows of south facing multi wall polycarbonate...the thermal mass afforded by the basement berms could store enough solar energy to moderate Wisconsin winters......and here in lacrosse we have a power producing refuse incinerator to convert reconstruction waste to power..
garages could be easily beefed up with insulation and lumber left over from the green house conversion.... a reversible fan (drain tube) ventilation tied to the Ex-basement for heating and cooling.
renewable energy charging stations for NEV's (taking the roll of cargo carries)... and human powered human transport (safe, reliable, proven)
