The goal of Musicians and Performers for a Better Future is to assemble performing talent into musical and performance groups to coordinate the release and performance of music to support alternative energy solutions. A tremendous audience awaits the revival of this spirit on the internet and in real venue. Let us tell the story in our music and performances, let us record this history with our special skills.

Members of musicians for a better future should work to attract promoters, publicists, producers, media personalities, media representatives, sponsors, venues, managers, grass roots organizers, marketers, sound crews, stage hands, and all the personnel it takes to make any such endeavor a success.

Any working musician has at least some of these kinds of resources to call upon, and most will have favors to call in. Musicians have a visibility that can attract public attention and a special talent for unifying people from all segments of our society. We can attract celebrity musicians to this group!

The time is now. The cause is worthwhile. We will resolve this energy crisis in song and performance.

My idea is to utilize the $25 Billion President-elect Barack Obama proposed to invest in rebuilding America's roads by painting them with reflective paint to reflect solar energy in an effort to offset the loss of glaciers. In the near future this project could mature to begin working with solar paint to absorb solar energy to utilize for street lights, electric cars, etc.
Reasons I believe this is an idea worth pursuing:
a.) Blacktop absorbs and holds heat and heats up cities.
b.) Painting roads would be a good way to equally distribute global cooling and reverse global warming.
With kind regards,

Ed,

I agree. If things continue the way they've have been going lately there will only be 2 classes. RICH and POOR!

Why every Election they talk about doing for the Middle Class and the Upper class. They never do anything for the lower class the poor. It's Alway's the rich, the middle Class never the poor.

It is important that the group gets something done this fall. Is there a way I can encourage you to get started? As far as equipment I have, I have 2 Yamaha SUB woofers that put out about 800 watts each, but they require an amp, that I do not have any more.
Still, I also have microphones and stands and I do have a Roland Keyboard amp with dual controls that puts out 550 watts of sound. A Korg Triton Work station 88 keys and monitor speakers.
I am interested still in helping Texas, and it is little comfort that some Texas band has already had a concert here in Oklahoma to help the people of Texas recover. It is really sad that no one seemed interested in the Benefit concert for Texas to be held in Austin. It is true, however, that I didn't get in contact with any of the headliners, so some of that was my failure. Still, we need to get some simple things done, so we can build from there. I am open for ideas, so talk it out... We have an entire organization as a stage, so what we do will be magnified 300x ...Gregor Smith gregors@att.net

3 guitars, 12-string electric and acoustic classic, Dean bass and Mandolin. Percussion hand instruments, stands and odds and ends we could use to get something started. Wish you guys were in OKC, but I can come to your place with some preparation and purpose...Next year I can travel more, but for now we just need some common processes.
