Eric -I am out on Long Island. Not that attending a U.Square gathering is impossible, however it may not be. I would be interested in being able via the web/e-mail in parrticipating in desemination of actual steps people can take in order to minimize their carbon footprint and reduce the overall consumption of fossil energy. I have already advocated/desiminated as best I can,the reduction in use of plastics which as I'm sure you're aware are petroleum based. Should you develope a list of energy list of "do's and don't's" which I could forward I'd be happy to be involved. Congratulations on having the "moxy" to get involved and fight the good fight. Please keep me in mind as a potential LI advocate. Good Luck , Dave Blanchard

I think I may very well try something up here to, at the very least, get more members.

Hi Eric--i'm very interested in New York--Washington events. To change a system it's good to meet socially (large group)--have a simple buffet--followed by short, key presentations, the goal of which is to sign up speakers for New York City political/environmental/community groups--as well as talented writers to develope flyers and press releases. The ultimate goal is to tesitfy before Congress and gain Congressional , Presidential and popular support-- Marching and picketing are not as effective or desirable-- Having T.Boone Pickens support is also desirable.

Please share the details with me as soon as you have them. I must tell you public rallies, marches, sit ins, "Hell no, we won't go"- not I. Petitons for signing, write letters, etc. I have no intentions of being anonymous, just conservative!!
