Is there any post on this site that has a list of which politicians have come out for or against the plan? If so could someone point me in the right direction for it. If there is not one hopefully there will be one to come.

To Michael, hopefully we hear back soon as I too have written to the NH delegation on other issues and have heard back but so far have heard nothing on this.

I will admit that as an old fashoned New England Yankee I am loath to depend on govt for getting anything done but it would be nice to know which ones are going to be helpful vs those that are going to hinder the process of this country gaining energy independance.

I agree with Keith, that is great the Susan Collins is supporting the pickens plan. I'm from Seacoast, NH and we do have 14 miles of coastline here, it may not be much but it is something....heck if we can have a nuclear plant in my backyard there's no reason not to have wind turbines and Solar as well.
I have written to both of my senators as well on this issue but have not had a response. I have received responses from both Senator Gregg and Sununu in the past.

Hi all,

In response to Susan Collins supporting the Pickens plan i think that is great. I have written to both Sununu and Gregg (NH 's senators) but have yet to get a reply on where they stand.

Obviously we don't have near the coastline of ME but I would certainly hope we could develop some renewables here in NH as well.

T. Boone Pickens is "right on" and Americans need to stand up for energy independence. The future is NOW. Contact as many people as you can and let leaders--local, state and national--know what's at stake and how you feel. This is THE issue we can all help solve.

Ok, I absolutely think that US built and engineered windmills could be built offshore. I applaud Susan Collins support. Let's see what her actions are. She is our employee after all. Solar additions would not be difficult, but might not be cost effective yet in the Gulf of Maine. The tidal turbines would put incredible strain on the wind towers. They would be better off being anchored in some other fashion. That said, it might not be a stretch to tie all of these sources into a central grid and send this power landward.

I just heard that Maine's senator Susan Collins supports the Picken's Plan. She like the idea of wind turbines off the coast of Maine. I think if combined with tidal/solar we may have an answer. Don't know what this would look like but why not utilize all 3 on each tower. Just my thoughts. What do you think?

I know the time is right, to contact local, state, and federal officials. Energy will only change through the voter.

Somehow we all need to bond together throughout this country and make a huge statement. That statement is the we want choices that we can afford. We want solar panels on our houses that we can then plug in our cars. We want to use the wind, water and sun and natural gas along with the oil that we will always need for some things. WE WANT CHOICES! I'm so sick of listening to the polictians, the news media-talk, talk, talk and knowone is doing. We all see this train wreck coming. Are we going to stand by and watch it, or are we going to get off the track.
It's going to take the PEOPLE of this country to make the changes. WE THE PEOPLE. There's safety and strength in numbers. Do we need to protest? Do we need to write lots of letters to our representives? I don't know..Let's all think about this and make a plan. A plan for action.

To the women who heard the wooshing sound.
Many people live near the railroad or airports and they adapt.
To save money and go green, I could adjust.
