THOUGHT VIBRATION by William Walker Atkinson

William Walker Atkinson (December 5, 1862 - November 22, 1932) was a very important and influential American figure in the early days of the New Thought Movement. He was an attorney, merchant, publisher, and author, as well as an occultist and an American pioneer of New Thought, which is in fact the title of a magazine he edited at one time. He is also known to have been the author of the pseudonymous works attributed to Theron Q. Dumont and Yogi Ramacharaka.

Atkinson's 1906 book Thought Vibration or the Law of Attraction in the Thought World, is associated with the thinking behind the recent phenomena surrounding the 2006 movie, The Secret.

Due in part to his intense personal secrecy and extensive use of pseudonyms, he is now largely forgotten, despite having obtained mention in past editions of Who's Who in America, Religious Leaders of America, and several similar publications -- and having written more than 100 books in the last 30 years of his life.

Energy Independence US Treasury Savings Bonds

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009

Making supplemental appropriations for job preservation and creation, infrastructure investment, energy efficiency and science, assistance to the unemployed, and State and local fiscal stabilization, for fiscal year ending September 30, 2009, and for other purposes.

Current 111st Session of Congress Open Congress Summary:

The bill would invest $69 billion in energy efficiency, renewable energy, transit, and fuel economy programs. This is over three times what was spent on these programs in 2008 and appropriated for 2009. The stimulus package would dramatically reduce electricity and oil use, and cut greenhouse gas pollution. Most importantly, the bill would create an estimated 459,000 jobs by the end of 2010.

This is the economic stimulus package that the House of Representatives passed on Wednesday, Jan. 28th by a 244 - 188 Vote. This first version of the bill presents an $825 billion recovery package, developed by House Democratic leadership and the Obama Administration. The Senate will begin debating this bill on Monday, Feb. 2nd, with the goal of having a finished bill for President Obama to sign into effect by mid-Feb at the latest.

On this page, you can view the bill's official info, including the full bill text, and follow its latest status in Congress. Dear Friends,

Email Your Senator Today!

I am concerned about the high percentage of our oil that comes from
foreign countries. Even in December, as the economy was contracting, we
imported nearly 70 percent of the oil we used and paid over $19 billion
for it.

I am very interested in the aspects of The American Renewal and
Reinvestment Act (H.R. 1)
that include the promotion of alternative energy
- wind and solar; the building out of a 21st century electrical
transmission grid; and incenting trucking companies to upgrade from trucks
running on foreign diesel to those running on domestic natural gas.

A Department of Energy study showed that developing our capacity to
produce wind energy would not only replace 20 percent of the electricity
we now produce using coal-burning plants, but would add 138,000 jobs in
the first year and more than 3.4 million over a ten-year span.

Also, if we switch just 350,000 of the 6.5 million heavy trucks running on
the nation's Interstate Highways to domestic natural gas from imported
diesel, we could cut our oil imports by over five percent. In December
alone that would have kept nearly $1 billion from being shipped off shore.

I hope you will join me in supporting these components of the Pickens Plan
as H.R. 1 moves toward final passage in the Senate.

I need you to contact your U.S. Senators to tell them to support the Pickens Plan.

P.S. Savings bonds could be help in economic crisis.

While Washington tries to "fix" the banking and Wall Street mess created
by subprime "gotcha" adjustable rate mortgages defaulting en masse, many
of us are looking for a safer place to put at least some of our
retirement, college funds, etc.

And we also want our country to become more energy-independent and our
crumbling infrastructure repaired. But with things as they are, how can we
accomplish these three objectives? A new form of U.S. Treasury savings
bonds could be the answer.

Without U.S. saving bonds, we wouldn't have been able to supply our troops
and allies like we did in World War II. If the U.S. Treasury issued energy
independence and infrastructure savings bonds that paid an interest rate
about 3 percent greater than the annualized FED rate adjusted for
inflation, only be redeemable on their anniversary date(s), and what they
pay is not taxed when they are redeemed at maturity, all three of these
objectives can be achieved without any increase in taxes, especially if
these funds were only employed as 1-to-2 matching funds.

Such bonds could increase employment enough to even reduce our taxes.

Pass this idea on to your friends and then the politicians.

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.pdf

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

On January 28, the House passed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, H.R. 1, working from priorities shared with President-elect Barack Obama. This recovery package is the first crucial step in a concerted effort to create and save 3 to 4 million jobs, jumpstart our economy, and transform it for the 21st century. This means real change: it will strengthen the middle class, not just Wall Street CEOs and special interests in Washington.

I HAVE POSTED THIS NOTE FROM THE OTHER NORTHERN NEVADA GROUP I HAD POSTED THIS IN FYI:

"The plan must include proven American technology and resources; the development of new energy sources; and the expansion and modernization of the national electrical grid to transport renewable energy to homes and businesses".

Based on item-4 of the Pickens Plan Energy Independence Pledge we believe that nuclear energy is a “proven American technology and resource”. It has a “proven track record” of nearly 40 years of providing 20% of America’s electrical grid.

You can find out a lot more about nuclear energy and Yucca at:www.usnuclearenergy.org. This is a Nevada grown grassroots group. "Our mission is to influence change in public opinion towards knowledgeable citizens about nuclear energy and waste repository issues".

We would like to clarify that although our focus is nuclear energy, we are 100% supportive of all renewable and green energy alternatives. However, the criteria is that they must be "cost effective"! Financial and emotional investment will advance this mission.

Most of the Reid Yucca objection is the NIMBY reply. With several sights considered at one time when the DOE recommended Yucca as best partly due to already being at the Nevada nuclear test site . . . fully logical to me, Reid posted a tantrum which has continued for 30 years or abouts.

Today the DOE is providing Nevada about 5 million annually with which Nevada choses to oppose Yucca through the legislative committee on High Level Radioactive Waste. the majority of their anti-Yucca science is being purchased offshore, China, Japan, UK. Go figure! Few other states in the country would refuse the opportunity to make Yucca Mountain America's foremost nuclear reprocessing capital of the country.

Then the next distraction high on the list is the misrepresentation of Yucca “emotional objection” vs scientific objection by the media driven by the anti politicians. A large number of University of Nevada professors are pro-or at least neutral in its construction but politically forewarned to be silent in respect for their occupations or research grants. This is a challenge Nevada citizens should investigate.

No matter what your position, the need for permanent geologic storage is inevitable and required by the country, before, during and after reprocessing minimizes its volume and lifecycle.

Our best efforts will need open communications about ALL energy sources, our challenge will be costs of development and infrastructure distribution.

All, we are currently planning our second event. We must first ensure that our communication needs via the Pickens Plan are successfully implemented. Unfortunately, this hasn't been as easy as we initially anticipated and our turnout has been light on account thereof. We will certainly keep everyone posted as to the development of our situation.

T. Boone Pickens has a good program that will help all of us http://www.pickensplan.com/districtleaders/, if you are interested in being a District Leader for your Congressional District, email us at myenergy@pickensplan.com (please include your name, state and Congressional District in the body of your email).

Pickens Plan District Leaders will take action in the following ways:

Be the point of contact for the official Congressional District group page on Push.PickensPlan.com.

Work with other members of the New Energy Army in your Congressional District to sign up 500 new members by Inauguration Day.

Host meet-ups with other members of the Army in your Congressional District to discuss ways you can take action and Push the Pickens Plan.

Get an op-ed or letter to the editor placed in your local newspaper telling everyone why you support the Pickens Plan.

If your Governor, U.S. Senators and U.S. Representative have not yet signed the Pickens Plan Pledge , then ask them to sign today!

From the desk of T. Boone Pickens
Boone here,

We’re six weeks out, and it feels like Inauguration Day is right around the corner. One thing’s for sure: our efforts are really starting to pay off. Let me give you a couple of examples.

Yesterday in New York City the Pickens Plan got another big endorsement. This time it was from the American Lung Association. Think about that. Here we’ve been talking about how developing renewable energies and using cleaner burning natural gas is good for our economy and creates jobs. Come to find out the Pickens Plan is good for your health! I love it. New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg was also on hand. He’s been a real leader in using renewables and compressed natural gas in his city. I’m glad to have him on our team.

I also want to bring up my visit to Washington last week where I met with the Obama Transition Team. Like everyone else, I’ve been impressed with the way the President-elect has been preparing for his new administration. My father used to tell me, “A fool with a plan can outsmart a genius with no plan any day of the week.” Let me tell you: the Obama team is smart, and they have a plan. The President-elect wants to get us off Middle Eastern oil in 10 years. There’s only one way he can do that, which is why I’m confident that the Pickens Plan will play an important part in the stimulus package he and his team are crafting right now.

I know President-elect Obama is ready to make some big changes. Let’s make sure Congress is too. The Army is 1.37 million strong. Now we need to get ready in every Congressional district, and I need your help.

Over the next couple days you'll be hearing from Team Pickens about the District Leaders project - I need members of the Army to play a leadership role in their own Congressional districts. Click here to learn more and to sign up to volunteer.

I want you to join me in leading the New Energy Army as we take the Pickens Plan to DC next year!

Keep the Faith,
James Everitt
