Wind and natural gas are winners for Oklahoma as long as conservation is encouraged too. Conservation by recommending ground source heat pumps can save 30-70% on energy bills then wind, solar and natural gas can make us independent.

I love Pickens' plan, and I love that he has donated millions to Oklahoma State, but since he was born and raised in Oklahoma, I wish T. Boone promoted his home state more. I really wish he would have chosen western Oklahoma instead of Sweetwater for his wind farm, and I wish he maintained his main residence in Oklahoma instead of Dallas. Come on T. Boone! Oklahoma could use the investment. Oklahoma needs you to help promote its image, and to let the world know how many talented people hail from the Sooner State!

I found several powerpoint presentations. Click on Groups tab above, then on Guides & Materials... Group. Scroll down to powerpoints. & look at them. I also downloaded the video of Pickens presenting the plan, which I'll use. No need to reinvent the wheel; it's ready to use. There are also some brochures to print & handout.

Does anyone kknow of a presentation I could make to our local Rotary club about the Pickens Plan? Or is it possible to use some of the videos on this site? Or could anyone come to Hugo, OK to make such a presentation? I am scheduling programs for Nov & would like to have one on the pickens plan.

Hello! I'm new to this group. I am interested in becoming more energy efficient & like the plan to increase wind power. Perhaps someday, lots of us will heat & cool our houses w/ wind power, as this spreads. I live in a sm town in SE OK.

Let's talk logistics: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/27/business/27grid.html

We need to add modernizing our power grid to our list of demands to our congresspersons.
