There's a good reason to consider signing up with the Pickens Plan for Energy Independence, even if matters pertaining to energy are not among your top personal priorities.
The Pickens Plan effort provides an outstanding case study on how the Social Networking type of web site can be used to encourage active citizen participation and grass-roots support for a worthy cause.
Individuals who join will be able to see how the site works, and learn how the same kind of site might be put to good use for other worthwhile purposes to benefit your organization and its programs.
As noted in the previous post, a general purpose Networking site of this same type was established to serve Civic Action Free University participants several months ago. The capabilities it provides can be utilized in support of a wide variety of constructive public service, educational, social, cultural, or recreational activities by any responsible individuals and/or organizations that wish to sign up and take part:
After gaining a little experience with the Pickens Plan site, you will be well-equipped to join, and put its capabilities to use in support of your favorite interests, causes, and activities.
