Critical Mass = 3,000,000

I recently listened to a cd-book called The Long Tail. The essence of it is that a big difference can be made by a small percentage of the people. This can be applied to many things such as elections, marketing, politics, etc. It takes about 1 percent of the market, whichever that market is. In this market, the US as a whole, that would be about 3 million people. I think we should raise the bar beyond 1.5 million in the Pickens Army. We need to be shooting for 3 million members, critical mass. We could change a lot of minds on Capital Hill at that level, get even more press, hold humongous rallies. It would also make a great bumper sticker Critical Mass = 3,000,000 above the web address. Or for those in the know CM=3M. Well, now it's out there---allen

One more thing. If there are any soldiers who haven't read Thomas Friedmans latest book, Hot Flat and Crowded go to your local library and read it now. It is an absolute must read and can be the manifesto for this movement. It is a complementary and broader idea for Pickens Plan soldiers. It should be required reading.
