Hi All,
What can you tell me including where to go to get information on Oregon University/Universities research work in Energy. As A Penn State Alumni or whatever the word is, I find them doing some cool work on micro sound augmentation of something to related to what I am working on with your member Tony T. He mentioned work being done over there. I am wondering if we could tie us all together in a big practical energy conversion work?

Wave energy has a significant impact to our threatened coastal communities. Garibaldi is a fishing town that is need of a new industry With the constant reductions of access to our local ocean and bay's do to political ideology and a general disagreement on fish stocks we will need to find a new industry base for the local population. As our area is suitable for wave generation I hope to get the site and our employes involved in the assembly and maintinance of the systems. It is something I have always had a interest in and I have several ideas for tidal generation systems to try and develop.

Wave energy technology holds great promise for meeting our future energy needs. In our home state of Oregon. Prof. Annette Von Jouanne and the late Prof. Alan Wallace have worked on and developed some of the most advanced, simple and effective wave energy to electricity generating technology available today.

OSU's effective wave energy technology not only provides the United States with more options for extracting electrical power from the natural energetic forces created in our environment here at home But it also provides a significant economic export opportunity for our nation.

Please click on and enjoy the provided links to learn more about this exciting and very promising technology.

For vinyl and similar plastics, there are new 'green' products (usually corn based), some of which are even 100% compostable. However the cost is usually 6-10 more, and part of the cost is do to to transporting the raw goods to different facilities, because processing in a verticle model does not exist domestically. The extra cost is going to pay fuel bills which begins to make the product 'impotent' for lack of a better term. Not only are foreign oil entities still profitting (some anyway), but the 'carbon footprint' is usually not much smaller and sometimes even larger.
It is encouraging to know though that these products do exist and are commercially available, that means that people are buying them, and that we are making progress.

Great idea.
In addition to energy substitutes, I hope we can also develop alternatives to other places we use petroleum - plastics, synthetics, fertilizers, etc. I think these could reduce our dependency on oil, both foreign and domestic.

Thank you for starting this site. I am very interested in seeing how alternative energy ideas develop across the country. Please include me on your updates and notices. I wish you much success. We are listed on the Pickens Plan as Mariah Power.
I invite you to join our group for updates on the Windspire and
other alternative energy items and ideas.
