Natural gas act will not get out of the House committee

My Reps. in NH have indicated to me that HR 1380 has not been moved in the Energy and Commerce Committtee because there are not enough votes in the House to pass it. Apparently, the leadership in the House does not want to go the way of this Natural Gas act. They want to go the Drill baby Drill route and to open up federal lands for drilling. Consequently, they will not vote to pass this bill so it will sit there forever.

We have got to change the thinking in the Congress. The people in New England do not care which fuel we use just as long as we can free ourselves from OPEC oil. I need to know who in the group is here in New England so that we can work together to petition the legislators to lobby as many Congress people as possible to get the votes to pass this act before our natural gas all goes to China.

I am printing palm cards to let the citizens of NH. know how are politicians are doing nothing while the Obama Administration issues permits to allow our natural gas to be shipped to China. We need to get people in every state whose congressmen are not tied to special interests that do not want natural gas from being used a a transportation fuel to get them to vote for HR 1380.

My Congressman is on the Committee that can move HR 1380. But he will not do it unless he knows there are enough votes on the House floor to pass it.

Been doing things vis,a,vis about getting anything thru government. First, the "governors" will totally
blank out the single individual. No real importance to the larger block of voices.
The small group? about a hundred times the "importance" given to the lonely individual. Still no real action required.
An article in the public eye such as a short article in the local press, or a report via the TV station? A Talk" Radio" subject?
NOW you are talking serious stuff. If they/he/she can hopefully show any kind of response that will "answer the questions", get them a little free publicity, and leave the public with the impression they are "doing something"? That is all that any Congressman/Senator/governor, will do. You have to have a long-winded "noisy" cause to have any "governor" attention.

Personally? And all of us in Pickens Plan? Every single person who has listened to Mr. Pickens and worked to get his ideas across? I might be more than just a little smug, but I think that all of us, the "Little People" that made the effort work? I think we should be just a little proud of ourselves, too.
