Pennsylvania has a lot of wind energy potential.Individual home owners could harness into this but we need exemptions from height and zoning requirements and need tax credits to enable this type of push.

Join us at Carbon Neutral as we move forward with our plans to Flip a City.

Vacant Buildings - Holyoke

Download the pdf (4 MB) and get a sense of where we have to start.

Then watch us grow and implement a plan to install grid tied solar pv systems on all rooftops, and most importantly, bring an entire City back to life as Carbon Free as possible.

Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
The Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
I know of no reason
Why Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.

A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything.
Friedrich Nietzsche

Huey Long once said. "in the name of anti-fascism" - it will
come in the name of your security -
they call it "National Security," it
will come with the mass media
manipulating a clever concentration
camp of the mind. The super state
will provide you tranquility above
the truth, the super state will make
you believe you are living in the
best of all possible worlds, and in
order to do so will rewrite history
as it sees fit.

George Orwell's Ministry of Truth warned us, "Who
controls the past, controls the
future."

Why have they been
withheld or burned by the Government?
Each time my office or you the people
have asked those questions, demanded
crucial evidence, the answer from on
high has been "national security."

What kind of "national security" do
we have when we have been robbed of
our leaders? Who determines our
"national security"? What "national
security" permits the removal of
fundamental power from the hands of
the American people and validates
the ascendancy of invisible government
in the United States? That kind of
"national security," gentlemen of
the jury, is when it smells like it,
feels like it, and looks like it,
you call it what it is - it's Fascism!

I just joined this group and am so excited about the possibilities! It is absolutely essential that we get the word out as quickly and effectively as possible. I wanted to offer a suggestion that some of you may wish to post on your local "craigslist" sites. I posted the following on the Lancaster region's Craigslist: "Hi all. If you are concerned about gas prices, our country's dependence upon foreign oil, and the state of our environment, I want to invite you to educate yourself about the Pickens Plan... This is a growing national grass roots campaign to promote alternative energy sources such as wind energy and natural gas. Please check out the website at http://www.pickensplan.com/. If you are serious about making a positive change, you will find this site and the campaign a great source of hope! If you are so led, please join our own online community called Pennsylvania Energy Action at http://push.pickensplan.com/group/pennsylvaniaenergyaction. Thanks for checking it out!"

I'm going to start small. I live in the Poconos and I know Penn Forest township has some new laws on the books regarding windmills. A friend has already told me he is going to install one on his property, and I hear a neighboring propery owners association (to which I belong) is agtainst it. I am looking into this. I'm also following up on research on wind farms done by an Eco company. We all need to get off our butts - especially our legislators. PA Congressman Paul Kanjorski is having a "telephone town meeting " tonite at 7:50 PM to discuss "decreasing our dependence on foreign oil", "and increase the use of renewable energy". I am already scheduled to partipicate.

Hi David, I listed pennfuture.org as a good place to get involved with the legislative process. Pennfuture has been pushing for alternative energy for a while now and is well funded.

I am in Selinsgrove, in Snyder County.

Okay, I'm in. Now what?! :-) Do we have any legislative contacts yet? How about the Gov? He should be jumping on board.

Hey Folks,

Thanks for taking the lead and creating a group. This is exactly what we are going to need to sustain this campaign and realize its goals.

My name's Brett and I'm the Director of Online Organizing for PickensPlan. I want to be as helpful as possible in making this group work for you, and coordinating with the rest of the campaign.

Here's a link to a discussion on tips for a successful group:

That's a great place to start. Also, feel free to send me a message at Brett@PickensPlan.com at any time. Let me know what I can do to help you out in the coming days and weeks. I look forward to working with you.

Brett.
