With a viable plan for energy independence, Pickens has thrown down the glove to all of us. Who is going to take up the charge and lead us? The 2008 national election (both presidential and congressional) becomes even more important than ever. Tell everyone you know about the Pickens Plan, then remind them to vote in November. Take them to the polls if they need a ride. Encourage them to vote for the people who will support the Pickens Plan. We CAN make a difference.

It's great to see this "Awakening"! To bad the cataylst ($fuel) had to be so distructive to the economy. Couldn't agree more with his push for NG autos in the short term, followed by Elect. Nice to see the non-partisan approach.

Just buying an Electric Bicycle now. Also just discovered a new fuel line modification technology that will gain us 50% more MPG now and 400% more MPG than that this Fall.

Better, flexible steel solar panels are made right here in the USA.
Check out this site.
www.uni-solar.com
Panels can be rolled out up to 18 feet long and 16 inches wide.
Also available as shingles that can be nailed (yes, really, nailed) down as a replacement for roof shingles.
Provide 20% more power per area.
Light and flexible.
20 year warranty.

I support this Pickens plan 100%. I have contacts of factories in China that produce solar panels and other products that will help. I am willing to give that information out to make this Pickens plan happen.

I too saw Mr. Pickens on CNBC and saw his (full page) ad in the New York Times and thought, "Finally, someone is just laying out a plan in simple facts. Someone unbiased, with the clout to be heard." I was excited to hear specific numbers detailing how much potential clean energy we have and how much it will cost to put it into action. This isn't a mystery...it needs to happen. And we need to make it known to our next president the sense of our priorities. If our country doesn't make moves NOW to be more self-sufficient, the days of the notion of the US as the land of opportunity and a world leader are numbered. I think WE are all smart about this...let's make the people in power be smart too.
