I'm glad to see there's a California group. Another item of concern for me regarding energy is what little has been done so SoCal Edison and PG&E regarding their alternative energy plans. It frightens me that so many in this State have forgotten about the rolling blackouts and the massive rate increases without any significant benefit after paying the cost and after working with the dissolution of Enron and their ilk. Lately all I'm seeing on TV is "Flex Alert, "Flex Alert." I'm over that crap. If they used and forecasted their money wisely, I think we wouldn't have heard any alert and we'd probably still have the same Governor! (I'm not anti-Arnold, I'm just making a point.)

Hi!

I'm glad to be a part of this. Thanks, Marc.

We can work to get people elected who know about alternatives. In District 11, we got a Wind Energy expert elected to Congress. Discussions like this were part of the ongoing campaign effort.

This is a great start, but we should think about using wind electricity to make Hydrogen which burns cleaner than natural gas.

Capiltalism with a Conscience. Choice, consequence and responsibility. Greed is not a family value! Simple ideas that create large results. Life does not have to be the extremes, rather anywhere in the middle allows for optimum happiness.

I am very concerned that we (U.S.A.) have no practical energy plan. I am impressed with Boone's grasp of our energy issues; he has the clout to get noticed by our political "leaders".

I hope Boone is flexible enough to consider liquid fuel alternatives based on Ethanol (non food based plus imports from Brazil) and Methanol and coal as well as natural gas.

I lean more toward the multi-fuel vehicle (see "Energy Victory" by Robert Zubin) as no special gas tank is required and it is relatively inexpensive to convert vehicles.

I know there will be a few skeptics out there but this will and can work. Another issue that is very near and dear to all Californians is 'Water'. Why is there no activity in the government to build a group of desalination plants up and down the coast? In 2004 they said that there were 18 being built. I have not heard anything more on this. I know this is expensive, however would you rather have no water or an exspense? Instead of the Petro Oil War in Iraq, we could use that money for very good things for the U.S.A. More wind turbines and start the building of the desalination plants would make this country much stronger over the next 10 years, not weaker. We have the brains, lets use them!

$5 a gallon gas. No! Opt for 40 CENTS a gallon charge at Plug In Electric Station near you. ......

Hey Folks,

Thanks for taking the lead and creating a group. This is exactly what we are going to need to sustain this campaign and realize its goals.

My name's Brett and I'm the Director of Online Organizing for PickenPlan. I want to be as helpful as possible in making this group work for you, and coordinating with the rest of the campaign.

Here's a link to a discussion on tips for a successful group:

I have been listening to the Pickens Web Cast and also what he said on CNBC this morning and the conclusion is this....

We must act know and show our strength as a nation like our forefathers who built this country.
