WELCOME TO "PICKens ME! ~JOBS!"

PICKens ME! ~JOBS! is an ALTERNATIVE ENERGY RESOURCES platform aimed at bringing employers and great talent together.

MY FIRST GOAL: Attract employers and influence terrific people to post Accomplishments, Objectives and Current Experience in whatever it is they do best, are passionate about or want to do with the belief if given an opportunity to interview and are extended an exciting employment opportunity, they can do it better than anyone else!

MY SECOND GOAL: Undertake the role of Matchmaker. Friends, we need to start 'somewhere' ~ let's make PICKens ME! the prime meeting place to read through inspiring paths of great talent seeking opportunities and become serious bench strength to this movement.

ONE REQUEST: Beyond the one stated in my first goal, I am asking each member to keep in the back of your mind, fellow members that impress you in one way or another. You never know who you might come across tomorrow making a connection for someone else who could well do the same for you!

EMPLOYERS: My recommendation is that you send job postings/descriptions to my company email address listed below. Since this page does not hold 'job categories or act as job search engine, I can give greater visibility to your open jobs by posting them 'right here in this box', as well as introduce your opportunities person-to-person acting as Recruiter to make things hum and people shine.

I am developing relationships with each person joining this group; allowing me to know 'precisely' Best matches in potential candidates aboard our fine ship.

The challenges many of us face in securing great employment opportunities I happen to know intimately and have an in-depth sense of empathy for job seekers. I am a great believer in the jobs the alternative energy sector will create in America. A strength of mine is wrapped in the power of observation and problem solving. Nice to hear from you earlier. I thought I would follow up and post my request here. I do not need a job or have one to offer, What I have is an opportunity that needs to be exploited.

I am a farmer/cattleman in Missouri. I own a sizeable piece of land and have access to quite a bit more through leases. This land is in an area with sufficient wind at height, is high elevation, and is close to high power transmission lines and substations. The local electric utility company is willing to buy the power at a reasonable rate. The local political structure is willing to cooperate with the project and provide some tax incentives. All the pieces are in place for a profitable deal. What is missing is the money, the expertise to bring a good plan to fruition and someone to put all the pieces together. If this sounds like something that interests you and you have a way of making it happen let me know.

Poeple have asked me why not do it yourself? My answer is this. I raise really good cattle and get them ready for market. I do not have a clue as to how to cut them up into t-bones or how to run a grocery store. I do the part I am good at and let the other people involved do the part that they are good at. Same way with wind energy. I have the resources but have no idea as to how to generate the electric, raise the millions needed, or run the business. I just know it will work with the right person at the wheel.

Fantasic idea you have going here. I am a computer drafter, and have spent the last 14 years in my career working for structural engineering firms in Colorado in the high end housing market, and recently switched jobs to a coal fired power plan in western Nebraska. I am more intrested in the RE sector of energy, and was hoping that this position I currently have would have lead to a job at this companies wind farm, but as of yet, it has not, and it's not looking too good for a move into that department.

With that in mind, where would I post my resume for your project?
