Invitation to join the NW Renewable Energy Group
I have started a Regional group, welcoming comments, ideas, and suggestions for Renewable Energy in the NW Region. Including states from the Pacific, Cascade and Rocky Mountain areas. I realize that some of my Pickens Plan friends are outside this region, but you are always welcome to join and add your thoughts to the discussion. We should be looking at best available sources of energy in our region, and ways to improve the power grid to transfer energy from region to region as it is needed.

i think solar panels along that corridor would be a great idea....it could also power the lights along the highway and the overhead signs and tunnel lights....

Wow 41 members. What is being done right now to create green jobs in Colorado? What can be done to train people to make a great living doing something that is helping humanity by taking better care of our environment? Anyone have any thoughts?

how about putting solar electric panels all along the i-70 corridor from east to west on the
north side of the highway facing south .the power could help power all the towns along that corridor reducing the need for coal fired electric plants and those transmission lines.

My name is Wade Wilson and I am President of Legacy Energy Group, LLC. Our primary focus at this time is Community Wind and Biomass Power projects. These type projects support local economies with good-paying jobs; landowner fees; and, taxes paid to schools, towns, counties and others.

A community organization such as Cities, Counties, Schools, Economic Development Organizations, Non-Profits or most groups serving the community as a whole may participate in up to 20% ownership of a wind farm with no capital expenditures and they have the OPTION to increase participation by an additional 10% with very little capital outlay. This program helps promote energy independence as well as providing good paying green jobs within the community and provides long term income that stays in the community.

Our program includes all development capital as well as construction funding. If you would like to help promote a community wind project in your community please join our group or contact us for more information. We are currently working on several projects and are more than willing to give references to serious parties.

Thank you,

Wade

Anyone out there in 'green' residential construction or green construction material development and manufacturing or in reclaimed materials? I am seeking to create local opportunities to such as startups or partnerships to build the next generation of green residential building in our area. As much as I would like to develop a wind farm or alternative fuel facility, the reality for most Americans is going to be starting at home with small businesses that lend to our cause. I have some ideas for new product development as well. I can be reached at megabucks89@yahoo.com

Hi I live out by Calhan CO.

I was wondering if anyone thought of making a "COOP" of ranchers to produce a large peace of land for a wind farm. This is still in the planning stages. I have a 120 acres and a lot of my neighbors have more.

What do you think?

Justin,

Thanks for your response. It is really hard to keep things non-partisan. Even your notion below that a particular party would be to blame for $4 gas diminishes the fact that this is an American problem created by Americans and it needs to be solved by us. Energy is a complex and global issue. Trying to pigeon hole blame for our current state of affairs on any one political party is naive and unporductive in my view.

Thanks for putting this group together, hopefully it can serve to coordinate efforts when the time is right.
