Oh GREAT idea to have an energy fair! As many types of alternative energy demonstrated as possible! Oh I'm so excited! Going to google permits now. Will report back later. My husband and kids want to go to - what a great experience for kids - the democratic engine in action!

Without a doubt, I am in.

I can check with Permits too, and it would be nice to get the Pickens Plan Congressman and Senators who support it to make a speech or somthing. I am sure my senator, Saxby Chambliss, would be there, also because they are so close to the mall.

Regarding the date - Check the calendar in DC for other rallys. Not a good idea to share the mall with another event. We will want it for ourselves. Maybe there is someone here who has done this kind of thing before. When you get farther along I will blast it to all of my friends. Between Diana Brown, Linda Ford, Gator, Clynton, Luis, Eric Lyins, Gator and me we have thousands of friends we can reach out to!

THIS IS A FANTASTIC idea. We will need Boone's blessing, He could probably help - his connections in DC could prove invaluable. .

The date sounds good. Sponsorships are a great idea - will help pay for advertising and permits, an insurance policy may need to be purchaseed also. Maybe Dianna can look into that, as well. Maybe it can be an energy fair at the same time on the mall..... that will draw many out of curiosity and spread more information. Can you imagine the mall covered with people, CNG cars, wind turbines, solar folks, ... Can you cross polinate to some of the other groups here? Have greeted tens of thousands personally - I can tell you there are many company owners and presidents and CEO's. Lets try to reach out to them when the date is firm. Check the date of Sam Fleet's Atlanta event. We don't want to overlap.

Will need banners, posters, other methods of getting attention. MESSAGE - "JOIN pickensplan.com - end our dependance on foreign oil! "

I like the natural gas idea too - let's walk the talk! I'll see if I can figure out what kind of permits we might need if any. As far as hotels - if we can just get a few hotels to agree to a discount, everybody can reserve their own - like Kim said, hotel blocks. Think we can get corporate sponsors? We could advertise on the side of the bus.

I'm in! Do we need any kind of permission? Permits? Blocks of lodging? We need some publicity for sure... rules and or/guidelines would be helpful, we won't want anything that does harm to our message going on (signs, shirts, whatever). When?
