Economy of Rural America

Rural America - the backbone of American Power has been in decline since the 80's. I left Nebraska in 1984 to the tune of J. C. Mellencamp's - "Scarecrow" album - I was in disbelief - now my town of 1500 is down to 600 people and Wallmart destroyed our Mom & Pops.

Farmers kept the town employed - Harware Store - Grocereis - machine Shops -blah blah blah you get the mesage.

What can wind, biodiesel and ethanol due for Rural America?

How much money do we spend on the M1 Tanks, F18 Fighter Jets and 11B Infantryment to protect our oil?
The real price of gas would be $8.00 /gal if that was included.
How much do we spend on sick people due to oil /coal pollution???
Who do you want making money - An Arab or an American Farmer????
