At times that is a appealing consideration for me.....the rail road tracks are near by and more conveniently accessible for my impulse suicidal needs....in the mean time im doing every thing i can to minimize my impact...

i have subscribed to the only peaceful solution.. VHEMT (voluntary human extinction)...wile keeping my mind open to intellectual solutions ,as well as,your garden variety of last resort violence....an in that sense, fell i am paradoxically more worthy of existence than most..( there are some who may disagree, but i'm comfortable with that)...and so, if you feel to need to join the ranks of the "lets send rulgert to planet ass" club....feel free.

gottalotonmyplate...pullin out for now, rulgert

Ok....just got off the horn...turns out the bulk pricing was due to the manufacturer discontinuing the part.....but i got a crossreference coming in the mail soon.

Ah yeah,

don't sweat it Paul*...for me the rough and tumble is inspirational, unfiltered please...Al,i see a wash of sad and hopeful here..kinda like a finger painting,it's all in the way ya tip your head...sides, the contrast gives it deepth...to much happy-happy joy-joy and i'm going to vomit due to disorientation...it's more than that, for real, and i'd like to keep it that way.

*Thanks

Seems like an awful lot of wasted energy to me from energy conservation advocates.

People git tired of the same ol' crap and jist don't show up no mo. Put y'all thermal undies on and take a look at ALL the intellectual posts, NOT! here lately.

This here Pickens Platform is a pretty sad place :o(

Hey Eric,

Easy now... You should just killfile TEiNF if he gets on your nerves that badly. email filters can be your friend!

As far as I'm concerned the podcasts are useless propaganda time wasters right-wing kool-ade if you will, but they're not banned and he's not worth barring, it's just annoying.

Just ignore the big squares -- look at the bright side, they're easy to spot.

Sorry TEiNF, but I get 4-5 notifications from your identical posts in multiple fora and other boards/sites In the good old usenet days I'd never ever see or hear from you for 180 days at a stretch, but ning doesn't allow me to ignore, so I filter. Nuthin' personal...

To PV or not to PV....

I'd say tis better to PV than nay...till i reed the bit on nitrogen trifluoride...now i'm a little worried.

David has a point ... the solar thermal systems kick the crap out of PV on an energy in to energy out basis, and i think we all know there are many ways to reduce our useage.

Tom,there have been studies...all said and done ,wind wins...via scale and siting...you can be sure the money isn't poring that way on a hunch.

scale and siting has ups for solar thermal power generation as well...the large reflected arrays in the south west are a good example...they store energy at thermal level in tanks of molten salt (much cheaper than any electrical storage system) then when the grid tries to pull down, the energy is released into the boilers and the turbines spool out the current.

Coal?....don't like it much myself either.

My strawberry pop-tarts were stuck! Any self respecting 7 year old would have done the exact same thing! :^)
