I have an idea. Put solar panels in high earth orbit, that power a series of lasers, that fire to a collection station here on Earth. Powering THE ENTIRE PLANET! ... How do we get the solar panels and lasers into high Earth orbit? Well, T Boone Pickens can put up the money needed to build a coil gun as a first stage to a unmanned reenter able vehicle. Ramjets would be used as a second stage, and of course rockets as a third and final stage. The gun would be in the millions but the vehicle would be the hard part. The only people I know who could develop such a vehicle work for Lockheed or Boeing.

how can we do this ?
any thoughts from anyone we need a plan

I just joined a solar business because I believe the educational approach and message my new employer presented to me. Not every renewable energy system is available to everyone everywhere, but NOT participating in any process is just not acceptable. Get out and do something Green. Delete Comment

Hi, glad to join the group!
We've just installed a 3,150 watt solar electric (grid-tied) since in my area (SE Arizona) we rated very high in sunlight. It's the best investment we've ever did not to mention in reducing greenhouse gases.

I like Mr. Pickens idea - and if he makes money - so be it! At least folks are listening and hopefully this will pressure Congress.
What irkes me about Congress is, what are doing to solve this gas crisis? Why not give ever household member who paid taxes a big rebate so that we can all buy hybrids?????

Has anyone else seen this website?... www.nanosolar.com
We need to get these people on board.
Right now they sell only to utility-scale systems.
Thanx for starting this group, Stanley.
