Hi, Greg Smith from Oklahoma City here. Just wanted you to know, we exist and that we will use the Oklahoman's for Energy Independence as the State's site, because they have the flag already and Tulsa has started discussions also on that site. OSU and Sooner's groups are invited to cross the borders and get involved with us, so that we can also get working on your projects too.
If you need a contact person, then find someone with the time to spend on this task. Patty Lucas was the organizer of our first meeting and it went well enough. Just not very much participation, due to many factors.
But here is what Lexi Fish, a national coordinator said last week... "We are not organized and just started work last week. We will be getting in touch with group leaders in the coming weeks to get the organizations more static."
If you have issues and need to speak to an official at the national level, she is the only paid member I know of so far. She is in the Communications and support group.
As for our state groups? I hope you will find commonality in the State's flag, but also keep your local groups as well. We really do need a state coordinator and also people willing to help if needed to write other groups and pass out information when critical and time sensitive.
Lexi will probably discuss that if she calls you.
As for the town hall meetings coming up? Everyone gets the same info at the same time theoretically, but reality is we will find out once the leaders are ready to pass it on to us. But take heart in errors, mistakes and flaws in the system. Everyone has them and if we get better, it is because others came on board to fix some of them and to recommend changes that will enhance our efforts to become free from oil and paying other people for our energy. Good luck in your groups and I hope you will allow some wiggle room for the leaders that will come up. Blessings!
