I did hear Obama finally mention T. Boone Pickens and the effort to become less dependent on foreign oil.

It is about time. Let's pray he takes action. I pasted his quote below.

“T. Boone Pickens, who made his fortune in the oil business – and I don’t think anybody would consider him unfriendly to drilling – was right when he said that this is one emergency that we can’t drill our way out of. We can’t place our long-term bets on the finite resources that we only control two percent of, especially a resource that’s vulnerable to hurricanes, war and political turmoil.”

Hope everyone has taken the questionaire and passed it on to all the group and folks they know.  Some groups have as many as 60 million members...would it be nice if 30 million supported the Pickens Plan?  One non partisan group I have been soliciting is Fair Tax People (5 million supporters), a number of them are already PP Supporters, and a lot of them have never heard of PP.  The point is, we all belong to many groups, but are we contacting them to support our efforts here at Pickens? Haven't been on this site for awhile because I have been using Face Book and Twitter...shame on me.  This has always been a game of numbers, and the more people we can get to sign the questionnaire the better.  Numbers really count in Washington, because they represent votes.  Now is the time that we contact every group, and every person we have ever had a contact with.  The worst thing they can say is no!  Believe me you will get a lot more yes's, but first you have to ask.   This could be our last opportunity to rally the needed support. Just thinking out loud here.

Here it is 2011 and nat.gas appears to be be a dropped hot potato.Wind is sporatic and nuclear too scary for most.Solar remains but is slow on the draw. A couple of years ago some rumors quietly spoke of progress in fusion experiments in Calif. but little since.......WUZZUP? The trouble in the oil-supply countries appears to be one event away from a global crisis and  I am still complacently pecking my keyboard instead of marching in my own streets........WUZZUP?   Will we find a courageous leader to follow or not? The gap between the Haves and the Nots is growing at a rate that has been increasing for quite a few DECADES now. Why is this fact not obvious to most? WUZZUP? A little foresight now beats the wang-ding out of the sniveling hindsight of  future critics....Enough talk! It's time to Walk!

Please Contact Your Senators Now!!
Let's get our states and districts moving on this!

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) announced that, when the Senate returns for a lame duck session after the election, among
the first items of business will be a "cloture" vote on S.3815,
the Natural Gas and Electric Vehicles Act.
This will take place on November 17th. This bill will provide significant incentives for the purchase of NGV's and EV's. Therefore it is critical that
you contact your Senators immediately to urge them to support proceeding with consideration of S.3815.

Write your letters, give them a call, send them a fax or use the contact form on their website! Then have your friends, co-workers and family do it to!
We do have a chance to make this work!
Thanks,
Dave

UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA, SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

" The question remains as to why this device has not been universally adopted? The only reason that I can determine is one outside of my area of expertise: Politics. I lack an understanding of the complicated interactions of utility companies, Public Service Commissions, and the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government in this regard. In summary, the PLD has met all the criteria of engineering design and has been proven effective." Ronald McClendon, Ph. D.

Note: Dr. McClendon has taught courses in mechanical, electrical, aeorospace, and industrial engineering, as well as, engineering mechanics, artificial intelligence, and biological engineering at three major research universities. At the University of Georgia he has taught Microcontrollers and Utilization of Electric Power and Equipment. These courses are pertinet to the PLD concept.
