I am VERY tired of the USA and politicians doing NOTHING for 40 years. 1973 gasoline doubled, with cars lined up in the streets trying to get gasoline at about $.75/gallon. !979 gasoline almost doubles, nothing happens. The only way anything happens in our great country is through the entrepreneur's, the way it is supposed to happen. Yesterday I filled up with 15 gallons for $60.00. If I could have filled up with natural gas I could have paid $15.00 and kept $45 to spend other places to help the economy, instead of sending it over to the Arab's. Think about what China is now doing with buying gasoline and how they can continue to conquer us, not through communism, but through breaking our economy.
The critics are already complaining that T. Boone is only trying to line his pockets. DUH! That is what capitalism is all about. I hope T. Boone makes billions, like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Ted Turner, Henry Ford, etc has done. Then I can continue to put $45 a week in my pockets or $2,340 a year in MY POCKETS just on gasoline, not counting electric bills, etc. If every adult, with about 250 million registered vehicles in America, saved $2,340 just on gasoline a year that would be $585,000,000,000 a year we could reinvest into OUR economy, instead of foreign economies. (Yes I do know we are a world economy, but we better take care of ourselves because nobody else really cares.) Again this is ONLY savings of money concerning gasoline and think what would happen tour additional money in our pockets with wind power, solar energy, nuclear energy, etc. This doesn’t even consider the great benefits to our environment and the individual savings there, as well as our improved health and savings on our yearly medical bills. These dollars don’t even account for fleets like taxicabs, 18 wheelers, etc.
So let me think about this. We would have a stronger economy, more money in our individual pockets, better health, and a better environment and once again Americans would be dependent on America again on not foreigners whom doesn’t really like us very much.
So it seems to me it is time for the USA to stand again on its own feet and be a leader of the FREE world and not of the dependent world.
So go T. Boone please, pretty please make $$$BILLIONS.

Bob I could not agree with you more. I would also like to add that as we poor money into these other countries, they are taking our money and using it to buy up US companies, land, resources etc. This great country of ours will no longer be owned by Americans. The time for talk is over and action, whatever that may be, needs to be taken. Wind, solar, nuclear, wave all have to be developed along with electric cars etc, NOW!!!!!! Thanks for your insight and I hope more individuals jump on the bandwagon.

i see mccain wants to build 20 something nuclear power plants in the next few years. i think this is a good idea to save oil.

Thanks to T Boone for leading the way in change toward energy independence. Huckabee had a vision...energy independence in 10 years....this should be part of any energy plan. We were first to put a man on the moon....we can create energy independence...but congress needs to get on board. Enough talk.....what is needed is action.
We need to invest in America...not in energy from foreign countries....
T. Boone....I would encourage you as part of your plan to identify the legislation needed to help achieve energy independence.....outline it and call up voters to urge congress to adopt it... I am certain patriotic americans will rise the the occasion and cause congress to act.
On the nuclear power front, many will object we don't know how to dispose of waste....but we can't want for the problem to be resolved.....it needs investment at the same time we invest in new plant construction. Nuclear power is critical to solving the problem. If states won't allow nuclear power plants, the federal government needs to lease federal lands to those companies willing to build plants.....around the country where people that need power live.
Thanks T. Boone for your leadership in this crisis situation....your patriotism is appreciated.
