About This Group

The Pickens Plan has been on Twitter since launching in early July and we’ve recruited over 2,800 followers in that time. It is a great start, but we can do better. This group is about ways we can use Twitter to spread the word about the Pickens Plan.

Here are the steps we can take to help grow the number:

(1) Follow the Pickens Plan on Twitter – http://www.twitter.com/pickensplan

(2) Send out a tweet from your own account encouraging your network to follow @pickensplan.

(3) Join this group and leave a comment on this group’s wall letting me know your Twitter name. I’ll post a list of Push members on Twitter so that we can all connect with each other.

Please let me know if you have any other ideas or suggestions.

And or those of you not familiar with Twitter, it’s a micro-blogging platform that allows you to send out messages of 140 characters or less. Think of it as a sticky note message you can leave for everyone to read. You can also post links to pictures, article, and blogs. Check it out.

Julianne; in a world where Other-centeredness was the chief citizen perspective, your idea would work very well for all I believe? But in Corporate America where Self-centeredness seem to rule the minds and hearts of its populous, it would be perverted by the top dogs of greed and self interest. How I wish, this was not a true assessment.William "Leland" Luster/Las Vegas,Nev.

Hello Everyone-- I want to discuss what a person that is in a subdivision that is monitored by a Home Owners Association, i.e. convenants, is supposed to do about getting them to consider putting up a windmill to help all of it's memeber/owners with electricity costs. This may just spark an idea down here in the lowcountry. I am in South Carolina.

My "Picken's Sustainable Clean Energy Army" friends; the proposed "Walk On Washington" MUST occur the result of our concerted efforts to make it really happen! The mere show of our vast numbers will send a message to "politics as usual government leaders" that we mean business on this issue; and will not back down from implementing it, almost to the point of social revolution if necessary. Our planet is in danger of our mis-use of its natural resources; and only we by our personal-national- and global merit, can ever hope to stem the tide of this careless mis-use. Leland

Troops, our work is just beginning today. President Obama is to sign the Stimulus Bill into law today. Once signed, perhaps a full version will be posted for us all to view (all 1492 pages!). The 39 Billion dollars for alternative energy supposed survived all the trimming done in committee. The monies avialable for the states under this bill will be in the form of substities, grants, and low interest loans. Our collective job will be to pressure our representatives to speed the release of these funds and not allow them to be tied up for months and months or even years in bureaucratic red tape.

I'm on twitter site and I would like to thank everyone that is there helping to spread the news about the Pickens Plan every website we can get out message on gives us a better chance to reach out to more people and let them know the work T.Boone Pickens has started and about the Pickens Army. So keep adding your friends and family so they can help in the greening of America. We need to commit to get at least one person out of our friends a week if we all could do this we could grow fast and the bigger the Army the better off we are and the more ideas we will get. So lets make the push and keep on the move.
