Texans for Energy Independence

A group for Texas residents supporting clean, affordable power and energy independence.

Location: Texas
Members: 997
Latest Activity: Oct 10

Welcome to the Texans for Energy Independence group page. I started this group to connect Texans who share my concern for our energy security. Hopefully by combining our voices we can influence the presidential candidates in this election as well as local politicians here in Texas.

If you have ideas to share for organizing to support the Pickens plan or ways to improve the Texas group please post a comment to the group comment wall or start a forum thread. Please feel free to invite other Texans to join the group.

I have started a list of Useful links for the group. If you have one to add let me know.

Dear Friends of America, Texans, PICKENS and 41 World USA- LET'S ROLL!

It has been a cooler summer month and week in the mid-70's: nice temps for this time of year in Western Wisconsin and Southeastern Minnesota. With our children's and families activities we are going to be travelling in the Upper Midwest in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Minnesota, Iowa, MICH, ILL and possibly to Ohio, Carolina, and Colorado Springs over next four to 6 weeks in July-August.

We are also busy moving ahead on positive business activities and meetings in Clean, Alternative Renewable Energies on projects we are developing here; Agriculture & Dairies; a USA Healthcare Plan; all are important initiatives. Glad to hear daily updates from you at the T. Boone's Pickens Army! We're progressive and optimistic. Its a matter of working smart and making things happen.

Today, we are sharing our Plans and Vision with our New U.S. Senator Al Franken in Minnesota. Tomorrow, we will be meeting with U.S. Cabinet Secretaries of Agriculture and Transportation in Wisconsin. Every contact, day, minute and second are critical as we build positive consensus.
We appreciate your efforts David, Mike, Boone Pickens New Energy Army leaders and volunteers.

Have a spectacular day in USA Heatland. Best regards to you and yours Pickens Plan. Jeremy and Texans: please add us to your freinds network- Thank you!

Sincerely,

Suzanne, Paul, and Michael

You want a solution to alternate energy here you go,
W2 energy has the solution. They can take waste and turn it into ENERGY.Think about it, you clean up landfills, toxic waste , low grade coal which cant be used for energy util know, medical waste, sewage , Municipal solid waste - Agricultural waste - Human and animal waste - Tires and plastics - Medical waste and put them into their reactor then NT Plasmatron Gasifier converts the feedstock into syngas (H2 + CO), and ash.
Hot syngas flashes steam which drives the SteamRay Rotary Steam Engine and makes electricity.
Syngas either burns in a boiler to make more electricity or is converted into diesel fuel, gasoline and/or JP8 jet fuel.
Flue gas bubbles through the SunFilter Algae Reactor.
SunFilter Algae Reactor consumes the CO2 - grows algae.
2nd stage of the SunFilter Algae Reactor dries the algae.
The Gasifier converts the dried algae into more syngas and electricity.
The ash is sold into the market as fertilizer.
Get that --simply put , 1 garbage in 2 broken down and 3 things happen , electric out one side ,fuel the other.Whats left over is ash which becomes high grade fertilizer. THE Co2 out put is neutral. The Co2 credits can then be sold on market. Is this not what the whole green thing is about. They use everything, nothing goes to waste, they help clean up ozone, they also help clean up all the waste we dont know what to do with.Once you get ride of the waste that land fill is now viable land. That toxic wate land is now viable.Comments questions. for more info here you go . submit there are two action we need to take: One is to have Congress pass a RSP bill that will start down the road towards energy independant and other in the states in enacting feed-in tariffs. Tax break don't build wealthy or put or people to work. All tax break give are potholes in your streets. You must build a market for your products, feed-in tariffs does that. Would you like to earn $250,000 by selling wind energy into the grid or solar from your backyard by installing a 1 MW machine. You could you know! see http://www.buildamericabuild.com

Hello group, I have some exciting news. I have been talking and emailing a legilative assistant for representative Hunter of the Texas state legislature regarding Energy Independence Savings Bonds initiative at the state level. I spoke to him on the telephone and he encourages anyone from Texas, no matter what district in TX, to email him about Energy Independence Savings Bonds for Texas. He stated he will happily forward all correspondence received to the correct representatives in Texas. Representative Hunter is an attorney and Caleb said there are two other attorneys working for Rep. Hunter. It is interesting to hear there is question about the legality of a state level savings bond program similar to the federal level. They are actively working on it and this is great news! Please feel free to pass on this information to anyone from Texas. Here is Caleb's email:
Mr. Kendall,
I am glad you sent this to me, I have visited with the representative and I am working with the state to see the legality of state bonds versus having it go through the federal government. I will keep you posted on the developments.
Thank you,

Dear Friends

I have a Plan

Im going to get a little personal about me with you.
I Just finished a Drywall & Paint Job and realized the awesome earning potential I have within my grasp If I had 10 or more people just like me we could increase profits 10 fold maybe more. Im not saying this to soloist anyone or sell anything this is just a possible solution to raise capital to advance our projects like Energy Bonds Green Jobs and promote the best of our best Ideas. For 30 years I have been meeting all my family needs within my means with just the help of my wife.
My thought is this lets all network with one another our jobs what we do best refering one another for work and taking 10% or what ever of the job refered and put 5% into a We the People Account & the other 5% to the one who refered the job.
Mr. Pickens has spent over 50 Million of his own Money, Tell me why we all can't pull together and do this. I think most of us here part of the 77 Million Baby Boomers, I have 10-15 years left in me to sucure our Grandkids Furture.

So what do you think ?
Am I Dreaming :o} Or can we or are we willing. The only Power the Government has over us is what We the people Give them.
I'm really afraid of what I'm seeing where they are going.

Wind is a viable energy source. On our ranch we have a small 400 watt Air-X generator made by Southwest Windpower. It produces almost half of our power needs by itself. The great thing about wind energy is that the sun need not be up for it to work. Cloudy days no problem. As long as there is wind theres power.

Dear Mr. Fernald:

Thank you for contacting me with your views regarding the economic stimulus package. I appreciate your taking the time to do so.

Every day, we hear more reports of massive job losses, and Maine is no exception with an increase in its unemployment rate to seven percent. Congress must work with President Obama to get the economy moving again. I believe, however, that it is critical that Congress pass an economic stimulus bill that achieves the right balance, right size, and right mix of tax relief and spending programs to ensure that any stimulus legislation will actually boost the economy and create jobs, not just add to the soaring deficit.

In that regard, I have serious concerns with the $819 billion bill that has been approved by the U.S. House of Representatives. I am working with Senator Ben Nelson (D-NE), on a bipartisan, compromise plan that would result in a smaller and more targeted bill that would help get our economy back on track.

In addition to infrastructure investments, the stimulus should include funding to help states avoid cuts in essential health care programs, tax relief for low and middle-income families, tax incentives to help small businesses, and investments in energy conservation to help create jobs and reduce our dependence on foreign oil.

Again, thank you for contacting me. I will continue to work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to come up with a final stimulus package that is bipartisan, targeted and effective.

Sincerely,
Susan M. Collins

United States Senator
